I have a universal remote for my Sanyo TV DS27820 but my Magnavox MWD7006 dvd player does not respond to any code in the remote manual and say only 3 digits and all the usual numbers for this model are 4 digit... HELP!
Actually after hours of trial and error, 524 worked. It is an Emerson code but it worked with my Magnavox DVD player. I had tried all of those above (I had to eliminate the 0 as it would only take a 3 digit code) and had no success. But I noticed that Magnavox, Philips and Emerson shared a lot of codes so I just tried it and it worked. (I actually started at the DVD codes for products beginning with A, then B, etc. Luckily, Emerson's number worked as I would have gone through to Zenith if need be. I had already tried ALL Maganvox codes I could find- even those for TVs and VCRs but no go.) MANY THANKS for your input though! It was SOOOOO fast!Actually after hours of trial and error, 524 worked. If your Magnavox Remote is a universal remote control, you should look up the code for Magavox DVD player in the user's manual. It also should indicate the procedure to program your remote and the prcedure if your device won't respond to any code.. Don't have a manual? Do a google search fer Manual Magnavox remote Mode Now, if your Magnavox remot is NOT a universal control and it won't work for your DVD, theres is no way to reprogram it.
Sorry it took so long to respond to your request for assistance. You
can find the instructions and codes you need to program your
television at the RCA customer support website
[http://www.rcaaccessories.com/rcaaccessories/ ] Copy this web address
and paste it into the address bar of your web browser. This will take
you to the RCA main customer support page. Just go to the universal
remote control section and find your model remote control. Use the
model number to find the technical support information page. On this
page will be a copy of the owners manual and the remote control codes
to use with your products. I hope this information helps you with your
problem of needing instructions and codes to use your remote with your
products. Thank you for using FixYa and have a nice day!
honey and guest: connections: Red, white, and yellow composite from out of cable/sat box to in of this dvd, and then a 2nd red , white and yellow cable from out of this player to in on television. Every television calls the correct channel something different - make note of where you plug the r,y,w cables to TV -- it may be labelled video1, video 2, av1, av2, input1, ext 1, etc. Turn tv to correct input/av/source/video channel. Call 1-800-605-8610 for further assistance.
I purchased a Magnavox MWD7006 and need to have it play in Db5.1 KOSS Entertainment system; thus far only plays in stereo; anyone know what I'm missing? I'm using a S-Video cable.
