SOURCE: keeps printing test sheet

I just had the same problem after putting in a new black cart. Try this:

  • Open HP Director
  • On the main window select Settings>Print Settings>Printer Toolbox
  • Open the Configuration Tab
  • At bottom right click "Factory Settings" button then "Apply"
A configuration warning popped up explaining that 'd be changing settings used by the driver. I clicked ok. AOK. (I did do an alignment just before this, but it's probably not required to fix the prob.

SOURCE: keep printing test sheets

I had the same problem and after working with a HP technician discovered that the HP alignment page will continue to print until a successful alignment is completed. The HP technician stated that in order for a successful alignment to occur both cartridges need to be at least 50% full. In my case I replaced the black cartridge but, the color cartridge had less than 50% ink. I replaced the color cartridge, performed the alignment and the alignment page stopped printing. What a waste of ink.

SOURCE: HP AIO 6110 taking forever to print

Cant speak for the model you have but generally withing control panel... printers there is a control screen for your printer under properties that shows what resolution of print is being used Fastprint... High qualit... and super print
If you can see this then reduce the resolution to quick print and see how it performs then.

SOURCE: hp C3180 printer prints test page every time i turn it on

None of the solutions I read here helped until I found this solution and it worked:
I suspect the page is a calibration page. If so you need to allow it to print and then place it face down on the scanner bed and press the scan button, the printer will then complete the calibration and you should not have to do this again until the next time you replace a cartridge.
Note that if either cartridge is not printing correctly the calibration may fail so you need to have good working cartridges for the process to complete.

Printing vinyl

Go to advanced settings on the printer control panel, and look for the type of paper. You may also need a special quick drying ink to print, otherwise, it will smear, and if it doesn't smear, it takes forever to dry!

Changed the cartrigde still problem with red

Hello,

The red color is made with magenta and yellow.

If the color is not made well, try printing a magenta and another yellow pure color sheet to see if the problem is the magenta or the yellow. Maybe the DRUM unit of the color.

Thanks.

My C6180 suddenly takes FOREVER to print a page, even a one-word document which I did as a test. It used to print a page in a couple of seconds,. Now each page takes 30-40+ seconds. Maddening. Help.

You could try the HP support document for your model:

Slow Printing

It is likely that you will need to follow the "Additional Troubleshooting Steps" at the bottom of this page to determine whether the problem is hardware or software related.

My HP 3505dn prints blue in place of red. Any document that cotains an area of red will be printed in blue. All cartridges have been changed out to make sure no bad cartridges were used. Have any idea...

Try updating your printer drivers www.hp.com locate your printer model HP 3505DN....then your Windows or MAC operating system. Choose the corect operating system then download your printer drivers...Reboot your system and then print a test page...if that takes care of it ..GREAT... If not the you may want to contact your local HP printer tech support for service.

HP will not print. It printed the test sheet.

If it printed a test sheet, then the problem is in your program..
go to your printer and faxes folder, (same place as youfound the print test page)
set the HP printer to Default
Try to print from Word or Notepad, when the printer select window pops up make sure the HP is showing, and selected.
If you have more than one printer installed on your Computer, but only one printer, delete all the printers you are not using..
