Problem: dishwasher (moel MDB6601AWW) will not run. The front panel has a light, between the "Delay 1-9" and "heated dry" buttons, and adjacent to small printed icon (looks like a tombstone with the number 3 inside). Last weekedn I shut off all the water in order to change a faucet, including the hot water feed to the washer. Now the fed to the washer is somewhat frozen -- I can only open it 1/8 turn. So, I wonder if my wife tried to run the machin with no water flow, and it shut itself down. Can you help?

The 3 second flashing light is a lock that locks out all other functions. To disable, depress the 3 second light for 3 seconds and all the functions will be released. This feature is to use to keep little kids from starting the appliance.

Performa dishwasher will not start. But when I push the "delay" button the power panel lights up and I can change the delay to 2, 4 or 6 hours, change from heat dry to air dry, but I can't get it to start....

Don't know model but it's either a relay , solenoid or contractor not working. Should be a wiring diagram inside panel . Check voltage and sometimes you can smell the faulty part. Appliance part stores have everything you need and probably can advise you on what's wrong w it and the part you need

Kenmore dishwasher blinking E2F2

Unlock your Kenmore dishwasher control panel by pressing and holding the "Heated Dry" button for four seconds.

Press a series of four buttons in quick succession. Press "Heated Dry," "Normal Wash," "Heated Dry" and "Normal Wash" to instruct your Kenmore dishwasher to run a short diagnostic test.

Then you have to wait 2 minutes while your Kenmore dishwasher runs its diagnostic test.

Then press the "Cancel/Drain" button once your dishwasher has completed its diagnostic test. This should reset your dishwasher control panel and stop any lights from blinking.

Error 1 on kenwood dishwasher

Hello.
Manufactured by Whirlpool, Kenmore dishwashers have an electronic control panel that must be unlocked in order to set or make changes to your dishwashing cycle. If an error light is blinking on your dishwasher's control panel, the panel must be reset before you can gain access. Blinking lights on your dishwasher control panel may signal a mechanical problem that needs to be repaired. If the lights continue to blink after you've reset the control panel, contact Sears to service your Kenmore dishwasher or consider troubleshooting the appliance yourself.
1Press and hold the "Heated Dry" button on your Kenmore dishwasher for four seconds to unlock the dishwasher control panel.
2 Press the "Heated Dry," "Normal Wash," "Heated Dry" and "Normal Wash" buttons one after the other, in fairly quick succession.
3 Wait for the dishwasher to run a short diagnostic test.
4 Press the "Cancel/Drain" button at the end of the diagnostic test cycle. This should reset the control panel on your Kenmore dishwasher.

Thanks.

On my GU2400xtp, the green light over normal is blinking. pushing any function only changess the delay time from 1 thru 9. In order to get the delay time to illuminate, the power must be shut off and...

Try to do a reset of dishwasher. For your model it may require pressing the 2 keys in sequence within 6-8 secs. - HiTemp/ Heat Dry/ Hi Temp/ Heat Dry/ Hi Temp/ Heat Dry. All lights should light up and then press Cancel.
If nothing happens it is likely the thermal fuse has blown. See item 6 in this diagram. You could try and open the control panel and test the part with a multimeter.

You may need a special Torx head screw driver to open the screws holding the panel cover.

Hope this is helps.

Hi-Temp Wash, Hi-Temp Rinse, or Sanitize options.
Some models have options that may require a water heating delay, such as Hi-Temp Wash, Hi-Temp Rinse, or Sanitize. Additional time may be required to heat the water to the proper temperature. The dishwasher will continue to circulate water during this heating delay but the timer will not advance until the proper temperature is reached
