SOURCE: how to change bulb on drivers side low beam head light

My niece has a jimmy, they should be the same. The inside should be the high beam, the outside the low, DO NOT TOUCH THE GLASS ON NEW BULBS! Oil will cook on them and pop them! Both come off the same way. Take off the big rubber thing. They are soft but over hard plastic. Just pull them off. If you have trouble, you can flip the little wire clips that hold the headlight housing in place, this will give you room to see the rubber caps enough to figure them out better. The bulb assembly rotates CCW counter clockwise, and should slip out easily. Take the wires and plug off. it should be obvious how it pulls off. Snap the new bulb into the wires without touching the glass part. Gently replace in backwards order as you removed it. Put the rubber caps on, they keep water off the bulbs. It will break them!

The passenger side was harder for me. I had to take the air cleaner off, the whole cover and filter. You should be able to see or feel the same type caps, The low beam outside, High beam inside. The same 2 wire clips are there to release the housing. Everything pretty much goes the same, other than the air cleaner has to be removed and replaced. And make sure the rubber cap is replaced! Good Luck and good motoring!

SOURCE: need 02 trailblazer third brake light removal

Open the full hatch.
Pull down the weather strip near the rear dome light.
There should be a wire with a connector in it. Disconnect it
Close the full hatch.

Open just the window hatch. There is 1 screw on either side of the bulb housing.

SOURCE: HOW DO I CHANGE THE LIGHT BULB ON MY HEAD LIGHT ON

Open your hood, look behind the headlight with a light and locate 2-black right angled pieces of metal. The one towards the engine side is easily found, but the outer one is under the metal fender and little harder to locate. Take a long flat screw driver and pry up on them, this will release the healight itself. Then you will have to take a flat screw driver and pry the clips on the top of the grill out all the way to the other headlight( I believe there is four of them). There is clips on the botton of the grill also, but they will pull out by when you pull back on the grill. Make sure to snap them back in when you re-assemble.Then you will have to take out the amber cornering light to allow you to get the headlight foward enough which will allow you to pull the headlight assy. forward enough to get your hand in there and remove the rubber cup like cover with a flat scredriver and then you will see the bulb. Give the bulb a quarter of a turn to remove it . Do not touch the new bulb because of oil from your finger will shorten the life of your bulb. Then reverse what to took apart. The snaps on the grill will just push in again. Good luck!

2005 trailblazer. the bulb lights for brakes but not when outside lights to vehicle are on.

Does the high mounted brake light work normally? If the problem is only the corner mounted brake lights, I would say you have a poor ground condition related to these bulb locations.

2004 Chevy Trailblazer Brake Light

I would start by trying another bulb. Even though the brake and tail light share the same bulb they actually are powering different filaments inside of the bulb so you can have a tail light filament that is working fine and illuminating properly but have a burned out brake light element that won't work at all...all inside the same bulb. Not uncommon at all to see this problem and these bulbs are pretty inexpensive.

2005 chev trailblazer v6 4.2 rear side brake light dont work the top rear brake light works fuse 12 front works rear seat below fuse 16 and fuse 34 good bulbs good where do i check next

CHECK FOR POWER AND GROUND AT THE CIRCUIT BOARD FOR THE AFFECTED BRAKE LIGHT. IF THAT CHECK OUT GOOD THEN CHECK THE BULB CONNECTION FOR BURNED CONNECTORS, THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. LOOPING A TEST LIGHT FROM THE POWER TO THE GROUND CONNECTION AND HOLDING THE BRAKE PEDAL DOWN IT SHOULD LIGHT. IF IT DON'T THE CIRCUIT BOARD IS BAD.

2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer brake light doesn't work

If the other side is working, then it will not be a fuse problem. more then likely it is a grounding problem or there is a short in the wire. Take a test light and check and see if you are getting a hot wire to the brake light. If it is hot then it is a grounding problem. Make sure that the bulb is in the right way and look for any corrosion where the bulb goes and clean it out.
