I have an older Sanyo (approximately 8 years old) and my remote control is damaged (only the buttons/controls on the right side are working, volume turns up but not down, most of the left keys do nothing). Last weekend I accidentally initiated a channel scan by bumping the remote control, & since then I have been unable to pick up more than 3 channels through my digital TV converter box. I phoned customer Service with the digital TV converter folks & after talking me through several converter box scans, they advised that the converter box is not faulty, but that customer service at Sanyo might be able to suggest a way to reset the TV back to the way it was before the accidental auto scan. Incidentally, I'd already lost one remote control several years ago & phoned Sanyo's customer service number for a replacement. That cost me $28, so I figure maybe a little free help is in order. Can someone offer a little holiday cheer to a low income student who is struggling? Please?

If you are feeding the signal from your digital converter into the TV antenna input, I would input the converters signal to the TVs video input instead. I am assuming your converter has a video output signal and left & right audio so you will need cables for your audio also. If your converter has only rf output for the TV tuner input it is generally on either channel 3 or 4 and there may be a switch to set this. It is possible that when the TV scanned for channels the converter was off and it did not find a signal on 3 or 4. If you can get the TV to re-scan, be sure the converter is turned on and on an active channel. All your channel selection should be via the converter after that and the TV simply stays on 3 or 4. I would suggest looking in to getting the original remote. Try partstore.com and see if they have one for your model.

Volume keeps going down

This is a problem with the sound select board, and there is no real solution. One thing to try is to press the manual volume up or down buttons on the side of the TV and keep them depressed to see of remote volume control is restored. This over rides the volume creep issue. I solved this by shorting the UP control to ground and the creep went away, but there is no manual volume control any more, but the remote still works.

Sanyo ce32ld47-b code for sky+ remote

  1. Turn your TV on.
  2. Press tv on your Sky remote control.
  3. Hold down select and the red button together for about two seconds, until the red light on the Sky remote control blinks twice.
  4. Press tv on your Sky remote control again.
  5. Key in the code 0157. The light on the Sky remote control blinks twice. If the light blinks once only, recheck the code you entered and start again at Step 1.
  6. Press the standby button on your Sky remote control. If your TV switches off, press select. The light on the Sky remote control blinks twice (code stored). If your TV does not switch off, press tv, then press the standby button. Repeat this (press tv, then standby) until your TV turns off, then press select (stores code).

Directv remote won't turn on tv or control volume

I am a installer and 10154 works wth every Sanyo TV whether it is HDTV or a SDTV that I have encountered. Try this code using same method above but do not enter 911 but rather 10154. It should work!

Volume controls dont work when using remote

I would start by trying other codes on the universal remote. Sometimes codes will only work part of the remote such as the numbers or channels but not volume. Your motorola cable remote sounds like it may only need a good cleaning. sometimes when you take remotes apart it will look like somthing got spilt in it. I would start there first.

SANYO TV VOLUME CONTROL PROBLEM

I have Sanyo TV. This problem started after I got into a sub menu with choices of volume lock and channel lock. I accidently set it the volume lock to ON. I could not go to that menu again. It seems that this TV has the feature of securing the volume so that the kids can't change it. Any way to go to the locks sub menu?
