SOURCE: connect sony handycam video hi 8 to a computer
There are lots of devices on ebay for doing this. I have one for just about £15 so pretty cheap. You then play the video through the "red yellow an white plugs" an its converted into USB. Easy to use software too. You can record from a video player or any digital camera or camcorder or ineed anything which has an output of the yellow red an white connectors.
I tried searching for your camera on the internet for a run down on how it connects to a pc but with the model number you gave I got no results?
There might be a small connector somewhere which is infact USB but looks nothing like it! You will find a similar connector on some mobile phones, or an ipod, digi camera etc etc One model I did find says it does streaming straight to USB.

How old is the camcoder?
Is it digital?
You may need a video capture card installed on your computer to transfer video to your system.
Check ebay for a "dazzle" box.....
Good luck
