2nd screen not working

I have all the cables connected properly, the 2nd screen is getting power but stays blue and doesn't show the DVD. In the upper left hand corner there is a circle with an exclamation point in it. Do I need to change the mode to something else? Do something in setup for it to recognize a 2nd screen?

Same problem here with my Polaroid PDM-2727, yet it will work with the video game controller's AV cord plugged in. I get sound, but no video when connected to the 1st screen for viewing DVDs. Of course, I can't find any replacement parts/accessories. Argh!

So I had the same thing and I was pretty upset because Walmart wouldn't take it back!  So, I don't know what inspired me to do this, but I simply switched the yellow and black plugs that go in between the screens.  So plug the yellow connector into the black hole on both screens and then the black connector into the yellow holes.  Now it works perfect.  It still doesn't work if I try to switch it back.  Weird, but you might as well give it a shot, it worked for us!

My 19 inch Emerson tv screen has went blue an no picture isn't showing

Sounds like a bad connection to whatever you have it connected to (cable box, dvd player, etc). Check the connection and then replace cables.

When I turn on my 2 terabyte LaCie DD3US external hard drive, disk appears to rotate but I get a red light along with the blue, and clicking noises, and the drive's icon doesn't show on my iMac...

If the device doesn't show up in Mac System Profiler at all or as an unknown device:
The symptoms indicate there is a problem with the drive, how it is connected, or with the computer used for troubleshooting. The next best step is to change physical variables, and find a simpler problem than a broken product.
  • Change the data cable (USB, FireWire, Ethernet, etc.) A failure in the cable can cause this issue.
  • Change the external power supply or cable. If possible, obtain another power cabling to see if the problem is in that component. On drives that are powered via USB or Firewire, try using the included power sharing cable and connect it to another port.
  • Change the computer you are using. Computer problems can manifest themselves in many ways. Even if the computer appears to be working properly, this is a worthwhile test. Try it on a friend's computer and see if it works fine.
If the tests above don't help, it's possible that the drive was either dropped while running, had a hard drive 'head crash' or the circuitry inside the drive is fried.
Hope this helps!

My Monitor stays blank when I on it

Is the led (green/red) light on the front panel lighting up? if not check if the power cable is connected properly, or you may try using another cable that you are sure it works. If there is a light showing then it could be that the vga cable the one with a blue connector is not connected properly, and make sure the cpu is switched on aswel. If you are certain the connections are correctly intack but still noo signal, your monitor might not be working , and you have to get a technician to have a look at it.

When i switch on my pc the monitor display a blue power light for 5 seconds and then it turns to orange and nothing displays on screen.

Make sure you have connected the Video cable properly, Please disconnect the Video cable from the Computer and connect the monitor only to the power source. If you monitor shows anything like "Check video cable" or "No Signal" that means the monitor is working fine. You just need to connect it properly to the computer

DVD hooked up to sony bravia tv: have dvd power on, but can not get any set up menus (or anything) from dvd to show on tv screen.Unable to set up remote as menu does not appear on tv screen.

Hook up the player with RGB (Red-Green-Blue or component) cables and try the picture. If everything works OK, then go to the menu and turn on the HDMI output and set the resolution (if needed).
Not every HDMI unit works with every HDMI TV. You may also have a bad HDMI cable. On a DVD recorder, you may have your HDMI cable connected to HDMI IN. You must use HDMI out.

Which channel do i put the tv on, and which do i put the dvd player on in order for them to work together? I have a sanyo flat screen tv and a sony dolby digital dvd player, and i don't know how to get...

You do not put your TV on any channel. DVD players need to connect to a TV with video cables and not a RF cable. This means 3 connection options on how your DVD player should connect to your TV. First, since your DVD player is NOT a bluray player, then HDMI connection is not needed. 2nd, the best choice would be component cables. These are the RED/GREEN/BLUE RCA connector that are on the back of your DVD player. They got into the input of your TV that has the RED/GREEN/BLUE RCA connectors. These are your video connector. Now, you need to connect the audio. Look for the RED/WHITE analog audio connectors out of your DVD player. Connector those to your AUDIO RED/WHITE input of the TV. Power on the DVD player and then power on your TV. Press the SOURCE or INPUT button on the remote for the TV until you see the DVD on the TV....The second option is the connect your DVD player up to your TV with composite video, YELLOW/RED/WHITE cable...

Blue screen with HDMI

Check the power supply modular cable connection that is by itself in the upper right corner.  On the one my son-in-law has the double yellow jumper wire that connects to this plug in two locations was loose (not properly inserted) in the modular connector and had worked it way out.

Pulsing screen

Are you getting this on all video outputs from the DVD? the yellow analog out + the red/blue/green + the S video? Did you try connecting a different source? a digital cable TV tuner, or another DVD player? sometimes DVD players get screwed on some outputs, while the rest stay fine. I have a DVD that has an analog video out that shows an only black and white picture, while the red/blue/green works fine. Good luck
