No steam coming out of iron, does it need descaling and if so how do you do it? Thanks Iron is Wahl zx506-1

Hi, Brown water and whitescale are often the result of the water you use in the iron... If you have scale, white vinegar will clean that... For brown water, empty the iron, rinse out the insides with bottled water, and then use the bottled water instead...

I tried to reheat food and didn't get any results. Could I have ruined it by turning it on without food?

well if you keep on running your microwave without any thing in it then yes! it burns out the magnatron
(thats the bit the heat come from) and when there burned out its a dust bin jod as there very pricy to by and its not a smart thing to do trying to fit a new one by yourself,, you stand a very good chance of just killing yourself first,,to test your microwave opn the door put inside a cup of cold water and turn on the microwave for 3 mins on full power, the water should be boiling by then,,,dont put anything in the hot water like milk or it could explode in your face! just tip it away

Boiled water and it exploded, now the microwave is broken

wow, from the looks of it you need to unplug wait 60 seconds plug in to restart, ot buy a new microwave. Perhaps if in the microwave terms it didn't say not to do that call the manufacturer and the will replace it for free

Can i use water boiled from microware to make formula milk for a baby that is 1yr old

I wouldn't recommend to use the microwave to boil water. Here you can read the reason why: http://www.snopes.com/science/microwave.asp

Water can 'explode' when heated in a microwave under certain conditions. Best way to boil water should either be using a water boiler or an old-fashioned kettle.

Lg microwave exploded hot water on my face

It's rare, but obviously can cause serious injury!

Your manual should address this, or for more on what causes this, read this article.

Exploded a musical mug in spacemaker xl1800 microwave.

If there's no damage it should be fine.

I would double-check for cracks, especially in the inner door glass and the screen / mesh.

If it looks fine, heat a cup of water in a microwave-safe container for about 2 minutes and see if it cooks without arcing or odd noises and that it boils in about 2 minutes.

As always, never leave a microwave unattended while running.

Overheated microwave

Hopefully the magnetron thermal cutout or thermostat protected the magnetron from destruction!

It may be the fuse, which is usually located behind the grille or on the floor of the oven behind the control panel or between the door switches.

If the fuse is good, it may be an open thermostat or thermal cutout (TCO) / thermal fuse on or near the magnetron or on top of the cavity / body of the oven.

If you or someone you know decide to look into it, we have critical safety information and disassembly information at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa.

There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.
