If an Epson gets below a certain level in Ink for any cartridge, it will simply not print at all so if any of your cartridges are low, I suggest replacing them.

Hi how do i reset a epson 3650 all the lights are flashing thanks Pete

  1. Turn off the printer at the mains and disconnect the USB or Parallel data cable.
  2. Hold down both the ink and the paper buttons.
  3. Re-connect power and turn the printer back on (hopefully you have enough fingers/hands) while still holding down the buttons.
  4. As soon as the paper light flashes, release both the buttons then hold down the ink button for about 10 seconds and release.
  5. The printer should now be ok again.

Paper problems

First thing you need to do Turn off the printer and Open the rear access door or cleanout area as we call that (back door) and clean all the rollers on the back. make sure also that you are using the deskjet paper and if you put 20 pages of paper on the paper tray make sure to fan it before you put it in. the alarming sounds or blinking on the printer indicates that the paper is jamming on the printer

-The ink is normal to move to center or left to right, But if you open the printer access door the ink or the printhead should stay on the middle for you to able to replace the ink cartridges and remove the printhead

Printer 1270 front control panel lights are flashing constantly and the printer wont move or react to any manual inputs

Turn the printer off.
Press down the ink button and the paper button at the same time and turn the printer on (while keeping them pressed down)
After a second or two, the red paper light should start flashing.
Immediately release the buttons and press and hold the paper button again. Keep the paper button down for about ten seconds and release. After a second or two, the printer should go back to it's normal state.
Please try this and reply me for further doubts.

Ink issue

Normally if it's an ink cartridge problem, you will see there is a small cartridge symbol being shown in the right hand side window. If there isn't a cartidge symbol then it doesn't need a new cartridge. Normally when the red light flashes, it means there is some other problem such as paper jam or no paper! To change the cartridge, open the top of the printer, you'll see the cartridges on the right hand side, they should hopefully just pop out when you pull them GENTLY. To insert a new cartidge, follow the pictures shown and make sure you hear a 'click'.
I am not a techie at all so I hope this helps

The paper light is flashing

My printer is constantly getting jammed, spitting out blank sheets of paper in between every printed sheet, clicking and snapping, etc.
There are a few places to check for a jam - pull the paper drawer out and check there, take the toner cartridge out and you'll often find a sheet there that you cannot see from any other angle, open the little compartment at the back and check there and the usual paper sticking out of the output just enough to pull it out the rest of the way.
Good luck!
I'll be looking for a new printer this week though. I can't take the constant paper jams and sifting out the blank sheets when I'm printing 500+ statements a month.
Definitely NOT an office friendly machine!

The printer may not be scratching your printout but you may have a clogged printhead. A clogged printhead will constantly miss a spot creating an effect of a scratch printout. Please run an all inks printhead cleaning routine (2 or 3 times) and create a test page. Best Regards
