You need to check to make sure you have no power out put, check all receptacle. if none check your owner Manuel on how to flash your unit. you may want to check all breakers. if flashing don't work take it to repair center to check stator and rotor

What causes a generator to fail produce electricty

Most of the time it is either the Capacitor or AVR that has blown. Check out our videos on how to test them.
We hold a full range of Generator AVRs and Capacitors.

Yamaha 2000 generator won't produce power, runs fine otherwise

The generator does not operate in accordance with the specified technical conditions, such as too high stator voltage, iron loss increases; if the load current is too large, the copper loss of the stator winding increases; if the frequency is too low, the cooling fan speed becomes slow, affecting the heat dissipation of generator; the power factor is too low, so that the rotor excitation current increases, resulting in the rotor heating. Check whether the indication of monitoring instrument is normal. If it is abnormal, necessary adjustment and treatment must be carried out to operate the generator in accordance with the specified technical conditions.

Have a 4000 watt sportsman generator that will not produce electric i have replaced the avr what next

Could be lost exciter current. This is how to restore it - Connect 16 or 18 gauge wires to a 12 volt battery. With generator running, insert bare ends of wires into AC outlet - one to Hot, the other to Neutral. Insert and remove quickly. There should be a flash and power will be restored. If not, repeat until you get that flash and output current restored. Using light gauge wires is so that if you are too slow to remove them once AC is restored. they will burn out before the battery suffers from the AC incoming. Be quick and be careful.

Write the differences between alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC).

I will try, but understand, though we can harness electricity for power, there are still mysteries surrounding the existence and interaction of electric charge.
Alternating current is an electric current that reverses direction at regular intervals. All household current is alternating current. That is how it is generated through power lines, our electric grid, from the source like hydroelectric dams through power lines and into our homes.
Direct current is electric current going only one way in a wire or circuit. Automobiles run on direct current. Science says the flow of electrons in direct current only travels one way. Alternators in cars start out producing alternating current, but with an electric device called a diode, the current is changed to direct current. A diode will only let current pass through it in one direction, but stops current flow in a reverse direction. Before the invention or discovery of alternators, cars used a belt driven generator to produce direct current. Alternators proved superior in generating electricity, however, so were adopted by auto makers.
Now purists will add something more: by convention we say that current flows from the positive battery terminal, through the wire circuits, through an electric motor, and then to ground and thus back to the negative terminal of the battery. So from positive to negative, right? Well, electricity is a negative charged electron flow through a wire, so purists say the current flow is actually from the negative battery terminal through the wire circuits and back to the positive battery terminal. It is confusing, so by convention we say (DC) current flow is from positive to ground, or negative.
Well, there you go. Is it crystal clear, or whut??? Lol.

My camper fridge , Engel SRBT-565D Does not run on 12V ?

The compressor is on the way out and exceeds the current capacity of the 12v inverter circuit. The compressor runs on 32V AC @50 Hz and the inverter circuit is not able to produce sufficient current when the compressor becomes worn. It still runs on 240V circuit as this is a straight step down transformer from 240 volts and is not current limited..

I have a briggs and stratton 8500/5500 generator which I am using to power an air conditioner on a camper trailer. I just recently started having a problem where the one circuit breaker keeps tripping when...

Hello, First figure out what the load per leg is on your generator. Are you using the 240 Volts because this is two 120 AC volts legs and they are 120 degrees out of phase with each other.

You will need to figure what the power factor is for each phase on this generator. To figure the power/wattage by using ohm's law. Voltage times Current will give you Watts. Example: If the generator is generator 240 volts the maximum current available is about 23 amps. The maximum current for 120 volts will 46 amps. Therefore, the maximum current per 120 volt circuit is 23 amps for one circuit and 23 amps for the second 120 circuit..

I would try replacing the circuit breaker with the same amperage breaker. Also, watch what the generator load is per circuit. You can install current meter for each circuit. This will give a good indication of which circuit is pulling more load than the other circuit. GB...stewbison

Generator runs great but doesn't produce any power

There is a electronic module that senses load current that pulls the throttle up for high RPM. Fine the module and look it over, you may need to replace it.

Generator will not produce electric power

Hi there,
Check the air cleaner to make sure that it isn't clogged with oil. If you find any significant amount of oil you may also need to clean the carb. Also check the spark plugs for fouling. Once you're convinced that the engine has no service related issues, check the governed throttle setting. To do this find the spring that pulls on the governor arm and look for either a tab to bend up or a threaded rod to tighten at the end of the spring not connected to the governor arm.
Regards,
Carl
