The washer wont drain

Fisher Paykel Ecosmart Use Care Manual

Fisher and Paykel, EcoSmart with lid lock. After initial fill, all wash lights go out, advances to rinse, then beeps continuously. Have to shut machine off and start over. Continues to wash, but leaks out of top panel under lid. Machine is level. Any Suggestions?

replace control and drain pump

lift the front of the machine and set on blocks about 3"

reach under to back to the blak flexable pipe and squeeze several times to loosen hair soap gunk eccetera.

start mahine on rinse cyle

it should start to drain on its own

unplug from wall slide washer forward, tip back disconnect connector and gnd wire press lever and twist pump ccw it will unsnap and come down. use oil drain pain to catch water check for blockages. (note: pump 110vac and can be tested out of washer)

Tip the Washer and check the hoses.... my husband just found 2 pennies stuck in one of the hoses in my F&P GWL15

You have too many clothes in the washer. Take some out and try again

lift the end of the drain hose see if the tub fills and goes in the rinse cycle if it works you have a syphon problem if so make your drain pipe stand longer.

take hose and siphion the water out of the unit.run into pan on floor or outside if you have long enough hose. it will come out just get started by putting one end in water in tub and the other end outside or in tub or whatever and start suction on hose untill water comes out and let run untill all water is out of tub.

For those with water on floor after wash, check my post on "eco smart won't drain, smells hot". It could be something clogging drainage area at very bottom of the tub. I couldn't see the sock that was stuck in my FP's drain when I looked from the top between the white outer tub and the wash tub--everything looked fine. Then I removed the black motor/white plastic housing piece--Tip back washer and you should see this black electric motor/white housing on bottom. see my post for how to remove and check for plugged drain. it's really pretty easy.

don't know about outer tub holes, but glad i don't have that problem.

i hate my fisher paykel washer/dryer. i can't wait to sell this house--i will leave them here and get a new front load Duette for my next house!
