The Inner and outer ring of my Motorokr Z6m has come unglued and fell off. What type of glue would you recommend to fix it?

Ask a windscreen replacing shop for ideas and failing that very careful use of Loctite 401 may fix the problem It is a super glue made for the purpose of fixing rear vision mirrors to windscreens. Ensure you have acetone or nail polish remover on hand in case you stick your fingers together.

I just read a rather lengthy dissertation from some other frustrated owner with the same kind of problem. He had 2 causes: The first was low fuel pressure that a new pump fixed. The other was the harmonic balancer (on front of engine, bottom pulley of timing belt). It has a metal inner and outer ring with rubber sandwiched in between. For some reason the rubber had gotten hot and allowed the outer ring (cam timing) to move compared to the inner ring (crank timing). Once the balancer cooled down, the rubber seemed solid again. The timing mark on the outer ring should line up with the key slot on the inner ring.

This is what Ian happened this summer to ours so obviously it was glued. Not sure what glue to use either. And not sure if this can be screwed down and look nice either.

The dealer can fix virtually any problem with a late model car. But, if you use epoxy or trim adhesive, you may be able to do the repair yourself.

I once used 'gel' super glue to exactly meter and put glue where it belongs and get an instant bond on rubber to glass or rubber to metal bonding.

well you can glue it. i have done it in the past. i used the gel super glue and it held up for about 3 yrs.

If your numbered ring was friction fitted then you will need the help of watchmaker. Very often those rings are glued. If yours was glued, get the good quality glue and just glue it back. Do not use Superglue. The best would be any good epoxy containing glue.

Jim, take out the micro sd memory card, restart the program connect your motorokr z6m turned on and happy sync.

This will need technical service eventually. Try temporary solution with Sellotape or similar
