The jets don't work..I don't hear the motor at all. Do I need to get a new motor? I have a Royal bathtub. The motor is next to the tub under the sink w/ a cover.

It could be the motor, but don't rule out the switch. If there is a small plastic tube that exits the back of the pump/motor, there is a switch attached to this tube. The switch is avaliable online and can be installed after removing the pump from under the tub so that there is room to work on it. To check the pump, remove the switch and tape the two wires together, quickly plug the pump in and them unplug it to see if the pump comes on. Do not run the pump for more than a second or two as pump seal damage may result.

New homeowner. Kohler airjet Master tub after hitting power button only stays on for about 20 seconds. Home inspection working fine I believe

put your ear to the side of the tub and momentarily turn on the jet pump, if you hear a humming sound then you need to replace the pump motor capacitor.

How do you install a new on/off switch in a royal whirlpool bath?

The switch is located on the back of the pump. If you have access to the pump and you can see the tube coming out of the black box on top of the pump you might have a chance of changing it without pulling the tub, If you do not have access to the pump, one will have to be made or pull the tub for repairs. If the pump can be removed this might also make the repair go easier. The switch is available at most pool or spa stores. If you are uncertain about doing this repair call a Jacuzzi certified repair technician to do the job.

My Royal bath tub leaves residue each time I use it. How can I stop this

There are several options for cleaning the piping on a jetted bathtub.
The reason you have a residue on the bathtub surface when you are done bathing is because there is bacteria built up in the plumbing of the jetted tub. In order to remove that and reduce the amount of "yucky stuff" coming into the tub when using it, we recommend a regular usage of a jet cleaning product about once every couple of months
Here is a link to the cleaning products I can find right now. There may be other out there that I am not aware of but I do know these products work well in all jetted bathtubs.

I have a Royal Whirlpool bathtub. After I fill the tub with water, I push the button for the jets to start and the jets only work while i am pushing the button. The button is a air button. Feels like I am...

You have a bad neumatic switch. Or a small hole in the air line. Try pushing the button fast and hard to see if it will stay on. if so , it is a hole in the tube. if not it is your neumatic switch

Where can I buy just the brass trim on the jet for my whirlpool tub (aker)?

The trim for any brand whirlpool (w/p) tub must be ordered from that specific tub manufacturer. They will need to know exactly what your particular model is.

The model of your w/p tub, and serial number, is most often, but not always, located on the motor end of your unit but not on the motor itself. Access to this end of the tub, if installed to code, should get you the information you need, otherwise you are out of options'

Bathtub jets will not start

Our reset for the jets were hidden in the master closet behind the tub. We also found another access point to the tubs inner workings in the same place. Also, make sure they open all the air intakes and the tub is filled prior to testing. On ours if water is not above a certain level it won't come on.

Bathtub jets don't work

The first step is to determine if the pump is working or not. Is there an external switch on the wall next to the tub? Can you hear the pump humming underneath? CHeck your fuse box to see if a breaker has been tripped.

I know those sound easy, but its always best to check the simple things first.

If you don't hear the pump running and its not the breaker, it has now become a bit more difficult project but still something any competent home owner can fix.

YOu have to access the electrical plug on the tub. It is 110v outlet that is underneath the tub on the same end as the switch or opposite the drain.

You needs to access the tub through the wall from the other side and check out that electrical connection. Could just be the the GFI switch thrown. If not then it cold be a bad pump or broken impeller.

For help if that's the case just post again as it is a length process.
