Hello sir, hi, you definitely need your CD with driver which came with your Dell laptop, Use the CD to install the webcam software driver and application. If you cant find the CD, go to DELL website www.dell.com and download the driver for your webcam, and hopefully the laptop/webcam supports windows 7. If not you may need to wait for the driver.
Please go to run and enter "devmgmt.msc" you will get device manager remove all of the USB driver from the dvice manager and click on Scan for hardware changes. It will install all of the USB drivers. After that connect the Web cam and install the driver for the web cam.
You are having an issue where there are two conflicting programs that are trying to control your Web Cam. My thoughts is to go into the Control Panel and remove anything that has to do with your web cam. Restart and see if on your boot up if it finds new hardware. Then I would try to reistall the software again. Just a thought! A/V Media Guy
usually laptops have software that they can use to operate their webcam to capture video and pictures, if you use that software it turns on your cam, if you use yahoo messenger you can go to messenger>my webcam and it activates your webcam
1. disable all streaming files and apps first. 2. run system restore, restore the point when webcam was working fine. if fails. 3. uninstall / reinstall webcam driver. if fails. 4.
