Needle not aligned with hole in presser foot

Hi if the needle is hitting the needle plate you best get in touch with who you bought it from, The needle position is a critical adjustment and is done in conjunction with other adjustments.

My threader piece popped off

If you are referring to the needle threader, there is a screw on right side to loosen when inserting needle. Tighten it back.

If you are referring to the needle foot, there should be a little flipping switch that releases foot. Place foot in place, lower needle arm and if aligned properly, foot will snap back on/into position.

Change needle?

If you are asking if you should change the needle, yes. My experience is that a dull needle will cause problems long before it breaks. If you are asking how to change the needle, then: first raise and then remove the foot (not really necessary but makes it easier) If possible do not remove the screw that secures the foot. Next loosen the small screw that secures the old/broken needle in place. Remove the old/broken needle, paying close attention to the needle's alignment (which direction is the flat side of the shaft facing) Insert the new needle with the same alignment as the old needle. Tighten the small securing screw, replace the foot and tighten the screw that holds it in place. Rotate the machine by hand to insure that the new needle does not strike or rub against anything during it's full cycle. Sometimes a broken needle will indicate a timing problem or a incorrectly installed bobbin holder. Re-thread the machine and check for proper operation.

The needle of my sewing machine is not aligned..it is out of place and keeps hitting presser foot instead of going in the hole..any suggestions? it seems to get aligned and going in the hole if i pull...

This unit has a 2 year back to base warranty.

Try removing and replacing the needle.

Unfortunately machines with predominately plastic frames are prone to misalignment that even professionals will not bother repairing because it will re-occur quickly (I have been told).

Check that the arm is in place as it should be. and the needle is not bent.

The user guide may also provide more information, check here for replacement parts and further info.

Needle does not align with the hole and presser foot

Sounds like a bend needle, try a new one, or else your needle plate and foot is for straight stich, put the machine in center needle postion, and reduce the zig zag to 0 or none.

Good luck and happy sewing, please rate my solution

Would you please advise how I put a zipper foot on my brother bm-3600, the needle will not align with the foot when I put the foot down! Thank you.

Did a google image search, this looks like a newish machine so I'd assume clip on feet?

Put the foot on the pressure plate, lower the foot on and align so it clicks into place.

Couldn't get an image of the foot but many zipper feet are designed to mount either left or right side of the foot so you can sew both edges of the zip in the same direction, ie pressure foot to left of the needle for one side, and to the right of the needle for the other side of the zip, you want to stitch in the same direction to avoid creeping.

Some machines you change the change the needle position to the left or right in order to get up close to the zipper foot.

Probably a manual would assist explaining this better, if you don't have one for the machine, I'd suggest that you obtain one.

Needle doesn't line up

With the pattern dial set on the straight stitch, you can align the needle by turning the width dial and setting it to about 2.5 ( so that the needle will stay in the center).
