CANT GET IT TO DISPLAY IN ENGLISH - Tomtom XL 330S GPS Receiver

Found this in Note Owners Manual, hope it helps.

Language set-up mode
In order to enter the language set-up mode proceed
as follows:
1) Make sure the audio unit is switched off.
2) Press and hold buttons 1 and 4 simultaneously.
3) Press the power button and the radio will switch on.
4) Release all the buttons and the display will show
LANGUAGE.
5) Press the << or >> button and the language
setting display will change as follows:
ENGLISH ? FRENCH ? GERMAN ? ITALIAN
?DUTCH?SPANISH?POLISH?ENGLISH
Once the language has been set, switch off and
switch on again the audio unit by pressing the power
button.

When you power on your printer and when it starts to count memory press and hold green button until all lights are on. Release the button and you will have pre-boot options, there you can find option to change language.

Console codes require the unit to be in an "idle" state for code to be accepted. "Idle" state means the console is not displaying an error or any message that requires data input. The display should basically be freshly powered up, scrolling the EKG or welcome message.

You need to install language packs form Windows Update.


If already installed? To change in Windows, go to Start > Search and type Change display language. Choose from list.

Go to phone settings and select the option display. You can find the the settings for language there you can choose your language.


OR:
you can find in the settings>>phone settings>>language.

i cant give step-by-step instruction, as if your machine is not set to english you will not recognize the commands on the display.
the language setting procedure is on page 4-50

1 go to ustawienia enter. go to jezyk select english

2 Go to settings it should start at music options scroll down to the 5th option push enter the first option should be english push enter......

3 go to settings this is paramet push enterscroll to
idioma enter pick language

This might be a problem.. Windows controls the actual display language (thats the dialog boxes, the windows and all the screen messages you see).

If you have a german copy of windows it might be just german. That means you might NOT be able to change the display language to english.

IF you have what's called windows MUI you might be able to change the display language.

Ask the guy or company you bought it from if they have windows CD's. You're likely going to need them. See if by any remote chance you DO have Windows XP MUI (stands for multi user interface)

It's unlikely you do, but at least ask.


There are options to change the language but it's usually not for the display it's for spelling or how dates and the like appear.

there have a "setup" manu, and choice the langue, and enter the osd langue to english is ok...
