Hi

There can be a few causes for this and I have outlined the main things you can check easily yourself below;

1) Check and clear the pump filter on the machine (on most machines this is accesses behind a flap on the front and at the bottom of the machine).

Open the pump filter flap and pull the small drain hose forward. Take the bung out and drain the water into a bowl.

Once you have drained the water, you need to check for blockages in the pump by unscrewing the pump filter. If your drainage is connected to a sink at the other end sometimes a blockage can occur at the point where the drainage hose connects to the sink.

2) At the back of the machine check the drain hoses are not pinched or obstructed in anyway.

3) Check drain pipe stands loosely in the stand pipe. If drainage discharges this way (as opposed to a sink connection) the drain pipe requires an air gap in order to drain properly.

If this fails to resolve the drainage problem other causes can include the pump itself which may be faulty and require replacing or sometimes an issue can occur in the control panel or the door switch on the machine that prevent the machine from entering the drain cycle. These faults will require service assistance to diagnose and repair.

Hope this helps. Please do rate my answer. Many Thanks.

Check the pressure switch and hose. Pressure switch is what turns the pump on and off. Trouble is usually in the hose so check it first. Look for the hose to be unattached or clogged.

How to move around brandt wm 550

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem: It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer. It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.

Washer won't agitate or spin

Hello there and welcome to fixya
there are several things that you will need to check first ok please verrify the following
It doesn't pump or spin
If it doesn't pump water out or spin, check to see if the motor is running, then proceed as follows:
If the motor is running, your washer probably has a frozen pump pulley or a broken pump belt. To check the pulley, remove the pump from the washer and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely--if it's frozen or stiff--replace it. If the pump belt is broken or looks quite worn, replace it--but be sure to check the pump pulley before you change the belt.
If the motor isn't running, the lid switch may be defective. If so, the washing machine can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.
It pumps, but doesn't spin
If your washer pumps out the water but doesn't spin, check these:

My mastermind 708 dosen't spin after wash cycle. It spins fine in the wash cycle but dosen't drain water or spin in the spin cycle.Pease help

Your empty pump filter is blocked with debris. If it can't evacuate all the water then it wont allow the spin cycle to start. Locate the filter (probably behind a little door at the botton of the front of the machine). Remove, clean and remove the debris, re-fit and all will be well
