Tag heuer automatic series, how do you start the watch after purchasing?

Assuming the watch wont start when worn then its time to get a specialist watchmaker to investigate.A premier watch as you have will need regular servicing at 3-5 year intervals.try www.rolexrepairs.co.uk they will provide a free estimate and operate a fully insured postal service.

I would contact Tag for this one. Most watch vendors will provide them at no cost. Be prepared to give them the #'s on the back of the watch to ID your watch.

If your watch is older than 4 years you can't buy links unless you get real lucky and find a watchmaker that happens to have some on hand.

Swatch sold Tag Heuer about 4 years ago to Louis Vitton. LVMH did not purchase the parts for watches made prior to the sale of the company. So all those parts are no longer available.

The small seconds hand do not stop because it has nothing to do with chronometer. They claim to be helpful, so you may get all the information you need.

Use a winder if you must but I recommend just winding and setting when you want to wear them as most winders I have seen are very cheap and unreliable. Expect up to 50 hours from most watches usually not less than 30, this is if the have recent< 5 years, overhaul.
