SOURCE: BIT WAS STUCK, TOOK APART AND 2 SMALL BEARINGS FELL OUT
I'm not familiar with that brand, but it sounds like your chuck just fell apart.
It can be reassembled, but a better and more long lasting fix would be to get a replacement chuck and swap them out. This will save you what could turn into hours of frustration, attempting to repair the old chuck only to find it still doesn't spin freely or tighten correctly.
Note the numbers on the side of the chuck itself, as well as the tool make and model #. There's no need to replace it with the same brand, but what is essential is that you find the correct chuck mount for your drill. (This is usually a number code like 2JT, 3JT, etc.) If this is not marked on the chuck, you'll have to know the diameter and thread pitch of the shaft the chuck screws onto.
Other than that, you merely need to decide the capacity (size drill bit allowed) of the chuck you wish to put on your drill.
Do a web search about drill chucks and you can find many suppliers that will be happy to sell you a new one, and you'll soon be drilling with the best of them...
Hope you find this helpful! If so, please take the time to rate this post.

You could try some appliance repair shops. If you are able to solder the loosen wire , do so. but the ball-baering coming offf indicates a serious problem within the motor. Look in your yellow-pages for electric motor service. They could help replacing the baearing. But do not be surprised if you didn't get the bearing replaced. Those small appliances are meant for "disposable" use.

Hello, This is common with Asko after a period of use, the heat makes the plastic pieces brittle over time or amount of use. If you still have the ball bearings good, ( 4 per side ) keep them and you'll only need to replace the gray plastic pieces known as the guide rail "ball holders". If you don't have all the ball bearings, get yourself a telescopic magnet and make sure one or more hasn't found it's way into the wash or drain pump as they have a tendency to do so. This obviously can and will cause serious problems because the wash & drain impellers are plastic...steel vs. plastic = not good. The Asko part number for the holder is 8058638 and should come as individuals so order 2, one for each side. The ball bearings are # 8057977 and as mentioned, require 4 on each rail/side. As for where ? I use Amre Supply, so you could check out their on-line availability at amresupply.com if you'd like. Hope that helps solve your problem. Thank you for coming to "fixya" for your solution. Let me know if I can assist you further and good luck. macmarkus :)

Hello, Yes there is a trick to installing new bearing & holders. Here's what works for me, remove the rack stops if you haven't already and then the rack itself. With the rack out of the way, remove the bumpers at the back of the rails which will allow you to perform the re-installation.The trick now is to install the balls into the holders and the holders into the stationary part of the rail on the inside wall. The inside wall rail will keep the holders in place as you slide the inside rail into place...this will usually require holding the holder with one hand while pushing the sliding rail back into place. ( I should do a video of this on you-tube with how many I've done and tried to explain ). Once this is done, re-install the back rail bumpers followed by the rack and then finally the front rack stoppers and that should do it. Hope that explain it for you or gives you an idea of how it needs to be done. Thanks for visitng "fixya" today for your repair help. Let me know if you require further assistance. Good luck. Macmarkus :) P.S. I should also mention you want to be sure none of the old 8 balls didn't fall down into either the drain pump or circulation/wash pump. This is something I've seen far too often on Asko dishwashers with the end result being a broken impeller in either pump...or both, yikes ! I use a telescopic magnet to fish around as it will be the only object made of metal...unless something else has fallen in the sump well area, it's good to check. Again, good luck :)
