I have a 1990 DeVille
its not called a air switching valve im sure it has a name like pcv valve oxygen sensor with out the correct name and code its throwing im unable to help sorry

Check for B+ voltage at the back of the alternator ,the heavy gage wire . Then there is a connector with two wire's the red wire should have B+ voltage as well , the last wire (BRN) should have B+ voltage with the key in the run position only . Not chaging probably . Maybe you blew a fuse or fusible link .

As you can see, a couple of fan relays. Use a jumper wire on load side of fan relay, the load side is the line with arrowhead. The red wire going to load side of relay, top wire in diagram is hot all the time. As far as the control side of relay, the voltage is fuse protected and goes hot with key on. I couldn't get everything in diagram, the coolant temp sensor is involved. Any applicable trouble codes?
Car idles fine but starts missing when given gas poping and sputtering
This could be caused by many different things. Do some research before you throw more parts at the problem. Try to extract the diagnostic code first. An engine needs 3 things to run: spark, fuel, and air. Your problem could arise from any of the 3 sources. Things to check include intake vacuum, ignition timing, fuel pressure to start. More information is needed to diagnose the symptoms you describe.
Why is heat not blowing out vents?
Either your heater core is clogged with coolant crud, or your blend door is not actuating between cold and hot. If when you turn the heater control knob from cool to warm and you hear a clicking or gear grinding noise, your blend door gear is probably broken. If not, it is just a clogged heater core. Let the engine warm up, then pop the hood and look for two black rubber hoses running from the engine into the firewall. feel both of these hoses. One should be hot and one should be warm. If one is cold or room temperature, the heater core is clogged and will need to be flushed out.
Cold starting problem
How old is your Battery? at the Temp. Stated above an Older Battery even though Good may not have Enough Cold Cranking Amps Left to Kick her Over.
