CF3 is a ATDC sensor malfunction. The output voltage from sensor is 4,8V or more or less than 0,4V.
Please measurement the voltage across PJ10A 1 on PWBA amd GND:if 4,8V of more change the developer or UN 3;if 0,4V or less change the PWBA.(PWBA = master board.
If you try mixed(add) toner in developer station whit hand(one spoone).
Every time changed the developer must performed the F8.Every time change the OPC drum or OPC cleaning blade perform F5.

Did you recently have the developer changed? Its a code that says that it needs more toner/developer mix. Did you pull out the image unit section, check if it was seated properlydid you install the screw that holds the image unit in. is there toner in the machine, pwr on off then on to clear code, if not mite need to have the image unit developer replaced or the ATDC(Aotomatic Toner Density Control) Sensor, which is under the developing/image unit, very sentative to static electricty!

look inside your machine, you should find the service manual, it will tell you how to put it through self diagnostics. And your Machine may have several Limit switches that you should check.

My minolta have an error code cf3

Replace the image unit. Or get a technician to replace the developer inside the image unit. That is a serious legacy machine from Minolta going to be hard press to fine parts. Try Newsletter Promotions Subscription If the developer was replaced hope the person did not use a vacuum cleaner to remove the old developer then the static electricity from the vacuum cleaner destroyed the sensor below the image unit. NEVER USE A Vacuum cleaner to remove the developer.

Have the image unit replaced or have tech come out and have the developer replaced the counter cleared and run F8 run, after the developer is installed. Also replace the fuse on the image unit so the copier thinks its getting a new image unit when only its getting a developer changed. Try finding a image unit first. try below Precision Roller Printer Toner Cartridges Parts and Supplies Office...

Minolta ep 1030

It is not actually a paper jam - when the copier detects a malfunction, it simply stops everything. Paper jams all have "J" codes (J1, J3, etc.).

A CF3 indicates a problem with the ATDC system (Automatic Toner Density Control). The output from the ATDC sensor is outside normal specs.

Possible causes would include the copier being run (and reset repeatedly) without toner, the imaging unit not being properly installed (or not present at all), use of toner not compatible with the unit, a defective ATDC sensor or (least likely) PWB-A.

Paper jams and c f 3 flashes

CF3 - ATDC sensor malfuntion. This sensor measures the density between toner and developer. You might have a problem with too short developer. Add some more and do F8.
The manual says basically that you either have a problem with de sensor (under a bottom plastic plate of the image unit) or the main board (PWB-A).
