Reset error m2 in konica minolta 164

Replace the drum and developer first. Resetting counters with out replacing parts is not good. The machine works on base on counter info you reset counters then not replace parts the copier will adjust voltages on certain items when in fact they are same items image problems and codes. CAUTION MAINTENANCE CALL (M2) CALL SERVICE

Replace the developer and drum/cleaning blade. Also reset the counters after replacing parts then run F8. resetting the counter with out replacing the above items cause image problems. The copier uses the counters to determine voltages on the drum you tell the copier drum is new and it is still old will cause problems. Maintenance M2 call service

M2 Call service.Maintenance M2, M1 Call service errors.To remove this error do the following steps.1-Press utility button on panel.2-Now press these buttons one by one, Press Stop, then zero, again zero, then stop,then press zero.3-its the code to get into service mode.4-After pressing above mentioned buttons you will enter into service mode.5-Now select service choice option.select it by pressing OK button.6-In service choice option you will see Maintenance count option.7-Select it by pressing Yes or OK button.8-There will be three options 0,1,2.9-Select 1, it will show a new menu, with numbers, now press C button to clear the counter.After the counter is cleared.Select 0 and press Reset button.

Procedure 1. Press the COUNTER. 2. Press the following keys in this order: STOP 0 0 STOP 0 1 3. Enter the code number corresponding to the function to be used from the KEYPAD. 4. Press the START. <Exiting the Mode> • Press the AUTO RESET until the initial screen reappears.

MAINTANANCE M2 MINOLTA BIZHUB 163

Need to have the drum and developer and cleaning blade replaced, then have that M2 counter reset. Resetting the counter with out replacing the drum developer and cleaning blade will cause codes and image problems. Machine uses the counters to determine voltages for certain assy. If you clear the counter and not replace the parts the machine adjust voltages for the drum and developer assuming it new when in reality it is old.
