It really depends on where the noise is coming from, however from your description of the sound, I would say it was a belt slipping in the pulleys, either from the engine pulley or the gearbox pulley, it could also be a seized idler pulley, check the belt manually to see if it appears loose.

SOURCE: loud squealing noise

The noise is most likely the serpentine belt. Check it's condition and that of the belt tensioner. It sounds like the belt is slipping, causing the squealing noise u describe. As the belt warms up, it's getting a better 'grip' and the noise stops. Turning on the heat also turns on the a/c in newer cars, this added drag on the belt (one more component to turn, the a/c compressor) would explain why it happens when u turn on the heat. Is the belt original? If yes, it's time to change it, and check the belt tensioner to make sure it's doing it's job of keeping the belt snug on all the pulleys. Let me know how u make out.

SOURCE: How do you remove the electric clutch from a

Remove the primary belt and mowing deck to give yourself some room to work.
Locate the wires from the clutch and follow them toward the frame until you find the plug and unplug it.
Remove the bolt and washer from the center of the clutch going up into the engine crankshaft and slide it off the shaft. It is quite heavy so be careful when it comes free.

Loud pop when started in free wheel mode on accident

That is a good question. It could have been a spark plug. Have someone look at it for you. A fuse that goes bad will not make a noise or a give out a bright light. It could have been a backfire from the exhaust. Will it start? If so, then it was not the spark plug.

Sounds to me like the belt is too tight and not grabbing, the squealing noise is the sound of motor pulley spinning on the belt. This could also happen if belt is worn out. I'd try adjusting the belt. Hope this helps.

if its an elect pto then it sounds like its in the workings of the pto pully

also if its a manual lever that you move to engage the belt, it could be the pully that tightens up the belt and turns the blades, most of the pullies are greaseless and prettymuch throw away

When changing blades do they need to be aligned which each other in any special way. I put new baldes on and they seem extremely noisy.

No, they don't have to be aligned. They run off the same belt but can slip independently of each other as they slip when hitting obstacles. New blades might make a different noise because they catch more air then when they are worn. If it's a really loud noise it could be one of the blade shafts wearing. It would have more play in a worn one then one not worn. The usually the one at the discharge chute wears out first.

New 26 hp twin cylender bad lifter noise at hi rpm

You either have a lifter out of adjustment or it might even be plugged. Are you sure it is the the lifter and nothing from the engagement controls. Sometimes if you dis-engage the mower and it doesn't complete the cycle it makes a loud ticking noise. If you are certain it is a lifter I wouldn't let it run at high idle until I had it checked. It is easier to adjust one than it is to replace one.
