Check that the ignition module and the fuel solenoid remain powered when ignition switch returns to the RUN position.The mOOOoof sound is the leaf valve in the crankcase breather. As the engine spins down and the crankcase pressure drops, the leaf may resonate. Some do some don't.As a test you might try adding fuel (starter fluid, carb clean, or combustible brake clean). Remove the air filter and as it dies spray a shot of fluid into the carb throat. If it picks back up you know it's a fuel problem and not ignition.

The engine is not charging, you need to have the charging system checked out, could be the charging coil or the rectifier.

Husqvarna always recommends using the factory approved oil filter. These have the correct micron for filtration, they also have check valves if needed. The filter may attach but may not filter correctly.

If the transmission is a hydrostatic (automatic) and this has been slowly happening, yes the transaxle could be bad and need replacing. If this was sudden, check your belt. If you have recently changed a flat tire, make sure you put the drive key back on the axle.

Try it with the fuel cap loose ( not off just loose). This will see if the tank is venting properly. You may also have a bad fuel filter, fuel lines or trash in the tank.

The starter itself may be bad. Are you getting 12 volts to the starter? Does the solenoid "click" when turning the key.

The best way is to order a complete harness. This will cost about $100 but it is the easiest quickest and best way to complete this task.

Hi, It sounds like a lack of fuel supply when it is required. When it idles, the demand is sufficient for this, as soon as a demand is required, there is a lack of fuel supply to meet the demand. Is the fuel old? if it is, you need to drain it and put fresh in. You say it's sat a long time. It's possible that fine particles of metal has built up in the tank and passing up to the carb. You will need to strip down the carb and check to make sure there is no sediment in the float chamber, that the floats are not sticking, and the jets are clear. I hope this is of use. David

You may have shorted the battery. Try recharging the battery then try it again.

Sounds like there could be dirt in the fuel jet going into the carb. This will not let fuel into the engine. If that's not the problem the float could be stuck closed in the carb.

Check the fuel tank cap. It needs to let air into the tank and has a small hole to enable this. Try running the engine with the cap loosely in place to verify this is the cause. If you can't clean it get a new one.
