SOURCE: Hello I have an echo pb-500T, my cord won't pull.

Remove the impeller and check for loose motor mount screws. With the impeller off and the spark plug removed and the pull start functioning properly; if it still wont pull then its likely internal and due to be replaced.

Replace pull cord

Echo is one of the easiest pull cords to fix, remove the screws on the rewind and take off the motor and flip it over and pull old rope out and put new rope in wind the spring the correct way so when you pull rope it tightens spring so it will wind back up when let go, not winding too tight !

ECHO PB-500T - Stopped running and added gas fuel mix. Quit running again with full tank and now flywheel is stuck and I can't pull to start it. What is the problem?

My $350 Echo PB-500T seized up. I almost cried.

The solution was to drain the fuel tank.

  • Refill fuel tank with an 2-cycle Oli/gas mixture.

  • 40:1 =3.2 oz to one-gallon gas, do not use Alcohol base gas.

  • Remove the spark plug.

  • Pour approximate 1/8 oz 2-cycle Oli into the spark plug hole.

  • Remove the pull cord assembly (4-bolts)

  • This reviled the crank shaft-Pull cord bracket

  • I use a large monkey wrench to turn the shaft (CW) Clock-wise.

  • Complete approximate 20 revolutions.

  • Reassemble, but don't install the spark plug yet.

  • Complete approximate 20 more revolutions

    by pulling the pull cord.

  • Use q-tips to swab the top of the piston, as much as possible.

  • Install the spark-plug and crank, it will smoke for amount 7-10 minutes

How can i test the ign. coil on a echo HC-1500 and also check the flywheel i have no spark and i have unplug the kill switch

pull the spark plug and ground it to engine. pull rope, and you should be able to see a spark across the plug. If no spark, replace the coil. There really is no effective way to check a coil without a very expensive coil checker.

I have a Echo PB 2601 made a loud bang then stoped working.

Sounds like it has seized up. If the pull cord won't pull then the motor is locked up. Did you run gas/oil mix for the fuel its a 2 cycle motor...

Weed eater is locked up. can not pull cord at all.

Try taking the cover off around the pull if you can. Likely the cord is not free to spin, or there is a rub on the fly wheel stopping it from moving.

Chainsaw won't start

Time to get out your trusty tool kit. Remove the side cover assembly and look at the recoil assembly. You should see a pair of fingers that when you pull the cord move toward the center. If the fingers are there and not broken, make sure they move when you pull the cord. clean them if dirty or have foreign objects (like sawdust) around them. If the fingers are broken, replace them. You should be able to purchase them from your local saw shop.

Echo pb 200 leaf blower want start

Turn on ignition switch, Choke, prime bulb 5 times (or until fuel flows), hold throttle down and pull starter cord sharply until it tries to start, then place choke in mid position pull cord sharply again until it runs then move choke to off when it will allow it.
Also you can go to toro.com then customer care, then manuals and parts then type in model no. and download an owners manual.
