I got a bushnell phantom from a local pawnshop. But what i did not know if it work because it was only searching. It took a couple seconds to findly stop searching and said no golf course located. What can I do.
I am having the same issue in Ontario Canada, I read somewhere that there may be a problem with the actual GPS satellites. Where are you having the problems?

Can you replace battery in Bushnell Phantom? You can not change the battery. Do not attempt to open, disassemble or service the internal battery. The battery must be replaced by a qualified technician. If you suspect the battery is not working properly please contact Bushnell Golf support.

Just had this happen to me. I tried re-syncing, powering off and on, but no change. I finally opened the case up, popped out the circuit board and disconnected the battery . I let it stay off power for about 30 seconds. It only took about 1 minute to find the satellites! Let's see how long it lasts.... Used it yesterday. Found satellites in 15 seconds worked correctly for entire game. Rechecked today and still good.
Typically the Swiss gear store (online) will carry that part, check local pawnshops, Craigslist, and other second hand places fir your style tent, it never hurts to have a back up! But Che your local REI and sportsmanship, dicks, ect.
If the screw is standard, it is probably what's called a 1/4 x 20 screw. They only cost a few cents at your local hardware store (Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace, etc.). If it is proprietary, you may need to take the scope and the tripod to the hardware store and try a couple of sizes to see if anything fits.
Of course, you could also try bushnell's website to see if you can order parts.
After trying a known good cable, I would try it on another preamp (prefferably a medium or high quality one) with a known good phantom power supply and test it with that. Or just go to your local Guitar Center and ask the associate there to test it for you. They will be happy to oblige.
