Check drain hose for debris, kinks, and partial blockages. check float sensor. Make sure it moves freely. check chopper to see if full of debris ...
i don't know. for drain, if in a stand pipe, it seems the drain pipe may be partly blocked. if hooked hose runs into sink, sink drain may be partly blocked, if drain water comes out too fast, consider a tywrap to hold a small towel around hose end to stop splashing. do not block the hose outlet.
low hot water flow may indicate supply hose is restricted. please shut off both cold and hot water supply . remove and inspect hot water hose for blockage. some hose have a screen filter in the end that needs cleaning.
if practical, connect the hot water hose to the hot tap and run water into sink to test for a good flow.
turn the water supply off. disconect the end of the drain hose that goes into the sink or stand pipe. have a couple of buckets and a few old towels to catch the water. slowly lower the disconected end of the drain hose untill water starts to come out. when the bucket fills raise the hose back up and the water flow will stop. continue to drain the water untill the hose can go clear to the floor without water coming out. there will still be a little water in the machine but not more that two or three towels can soak up
Make sure the end of the drain hose is higher than the expected water level in the tub--otherwise it just runs through. Extend the drain pipe up to the hose end height and tie the hose to the pipe so that the rushing water from the pump doesn't force the end out of the drain.
You may want to check the hose of the drain if repositioning it would help. There may be water running back to the hose. If this does not help, check the drain valve or the pump (if your unit has one) if it is working properly.
Hey there, just follow these simple steps then you'll be on your way To connect the continuous drain option. Remove the water tank from the cabinet. Inside the cabinet (water tank area) you will find a section of hose hanging beside the water tank, which is plugged at the end. Remove the plug from the end of the hose and install the drain hose connector (included with this unit) into the end of this hose section. Route the end of the hose (with drain connection) into the water tank, then through the hole provided in the face of the water tank. Attach a section of garden hose (to suit your continuous drain option requirements) to the drain hose connector. Place the open end of the hose directly over the drain area in your basement floor. Please make sure the drain hose section routed through water tank does not interfere with the correct positioning of the water tank inside the cabinet, or the will fail-safe switch mechanism will be activated, not allowing the unit to operate.
drain valve must have already been leaking, that's why someone put the cap on. It's ok to cap the drain but never the pressure/temp relief. If the water is coming out of the drain (not around it) you could either replace the cap or the drain valve to stop the leak - otherwise it's time for a new water heater.
