Reset it to yesterday, see if it catches up

SOURCE: samsung S630 date gets reset while changing the batteries

It is really NORMAL that the date will be reset to the Manufacturer's date whenever you are changing batteries.

For you not to keep on changing the date and time of your camera, use Rechargeable batteries for a longer battery life span but make sure that you will be setting the battery type of your camera for the Rechargeable ones.

To set the correct battery type.
- Press on MENU button
- Press on the right button until you see SETUP 2
- Scroll down until you see BATTERY TYPE
- Select ALKALINE if you're using NON-RECHARGEABLE
- Select Ni-MH if you're using RECHARGEABLE
- Press on OK/MENU button for changes to be saved

Turn off camera after the settings
have been changed to refresh the camera.

SOURCE: Fuji FinePix S9000 battery change clears date/time.

Hi

I started having a similar problem with my Fuji FinePix F10 after about 3 1/2 years of problem-free use. Another poster had some really helpful advice which I thought I'd pass on. It seems there is an internal battery or capacitor which basically fails after a while, meaning date/time settings etc are lost when the battery is removed. (Some people claim this is a motherboard/chip problem instead - seems to be contentious!) So the camera is faulty, but the problem can be worked around.

The advice I found, which worked for my camera, was this:

- Turn off camera and leave off for approx 15 seconds before opening battery door.
- Change battery quickly (within a few seconds).
- Close battery door and leave camera off for approx 15 secs before turning back on.

This retained all settings when I tested it multiple times. I imagine it might not work if changing over a totally dead battery though.

Hope it helps!

SOURCE: Need to reset date and time after changing the

Here's the instructions on how to do that :
Quick Instructions on Setting the Date/Time:

  1. To set the current date and time, press and hold down the SET/EDIT button for a few seconds. Release the SET/EDIT button when the Month (M) and Day (D) indicators start flashing.
Note: The unit will revert back to normal display if no other key is pressed for 10 seconds.
  2. While the Month (M) and Day (D) indicators are flashing press the LOCK button to cycle through the 3 available date formats.
  3. Once you have chosen an appropriate date format press the SHIFT button to switch between each of the different DATE, MONTH, YEAR, HOUR, and MINUTE fields. The field that is currently active will start flashing. To change the field's value press the LOCK button. Each stroke of the LOCK button moves one value up.
Note: If you go past the current year, you will need to press the LOCK button to cycle through the year 2189 and back up to the current year.
  4. Once you are finished setting the Date and Time press the Set/Edit button to return to the normal display. The Date/Time Stamper is now ready to print.

SOURCE: I changed my batteries on an EastTouch 77519

I was able to find an owner's manual on the Web. Though the direct directions did not solve the problem, I was given enough information to experiment and solve the problem on my own.

Thanks,

How do I set my sharp atomic clock. Put in new batteries and set time and date on back of clock but the outside temp is not registering?

That makes scence, you have to have an outside temperature probe. If it is wireless it also needs batteries. Check manual for more details.

Time and date will not reset, does not show correct time and date

I was told by a Primos rep that the internal "watch type" battery in mine is dead. It can be replaced but is a royal pain to do it and you must be very good at soldering in small spaces

Is there an internal battery for the time and the date?

Manual says: "After installing the batteries, the set-time/date message may appear on the monitor. The clock and calendar are set in section 3 of the setup menu (p. 18)."

In fact if you replace batteries really fast (in a minute or two) and time is reset the internal battery is probably exhausted/broken. You have to decide if it is worth of repairing.

My Z1 has 6 years and the clock does't forget time. Maybe next time i'll be surprised...

Yes there is and about two years is the right time for it two be losing it's power. Check on the right edge of the body and the left edge of the body, there should be a small slide out compartment for a button battery.

Remote that gives outside temp does not work put in new batteries, still does not work!

Pull the batteries out of the clock, wait a minute, and then put them back in. That will reset the link between the two. The temperature should be OK in just a few minutes. The clock will read the wrong time and date until it resets during the night. The next day, all will be well.

Ultronic lcd clock with a stylus tucked in back of clock

This thing set under my bed, lifeless til I was looking for something else and decided it was time to get this clock working!

(Use the stylus pen for best results) After putting in two fresh batteries (or hit the reset button if your batteries are fresh). This will reset the clock and the 'clock' icon in the upper lefthand corner will be blinking. Now press and hold the display area where the hour of the day is displayed. The entire time will start blinking. Now start tapping on the blinking hours to increment the clock slowly to the correct hours (it will cycle all the way thru military time and regular time, so choose what you desire). Press and hold with the stylus to increment quickly. Do the same with the minutes, that are blinking too. When time is correct, tap the 'clock' icon once. The 'clock' icon will still blink, which I believe is correct operation.

To set the date, tap on 3rd icon down from the top left (it looks like a little calendar). This will put you into the date section of the clock (if you do nothing, it will cycle back to the clock, after ten seconds, as a default). Before it cycles back to the clock, press and hold with the stylus pen right below the word 'DATE', until the the entire displayed date starts blinking. Tap the first two digits of the year to go down in years and tap the right two numbers of the year to go up in years. Tap on the month number to increment; do the same with the date number. When all date entries are correct, either tap the 'calendar' icon, or let the clock sit for ten seconds: it will cycle back to the clock.

I guess you can set the alarm in a similar method.

Hopes this helps!

Wrong date on the radio.

RESETTING THE CLOCK AFTER A TOTAL MEMORY LOSS

If you do not change the built in lithium battery within a reasonable period of time after you see the ‘flashing’ LOW BATT. warning indicator, the lithium battery may become exhausted and will no longer be able to supply back up power to the SmartSet internal computer.

If the unit is disconnected from the AC outlet after the battery is exhausted, or if a power interruption occurs, the SmartSet memory will be lost and the clock will need to be reset when the power is restored. Be sure to install a fresh lithium battery before you reset the clock, otherwise the clock will need to be reset each time the power is interrupted.

If the lithium battery is exhausted and you experience an interruption in the AC power supply, the clock will reset itself to its initial default setting when the power is restored.

The initial default setting is “12:00 AM, Saturday, January 1
(1 1), 2005”.

If you notice that the time on your SmartSet clock radio is completely incorrect, and the day indicator is also wrong, press the MONTH/DATE button to see the date. If the date display is showing “1 1” (January 1 ), you probably experienced
a total memory loss. To reset the clock after a total memory loss, proceed as follows:

1.) Install a new CR2430 lithium battery in the battery compartment.

2.) Connect the radio to your AC outlet and let the clock set itself.

3.) Depress the MONTH/DATE and TIME buttons together. The display will change from ‘time’ to ‘year’. While holding the MONTH/DATE and TIME buttons, press the UP button to
set the display to the correct year, then release the buttons.

4.) Depress the MONTH/DATE button. The display will change from ‘time’ to 'month/date’ (mm/dd). While holding the MONTH/DATE button, press the UP button to set the display
to the correct month and date. The Day indicator will change automatically as you adjust the month/date settings. When the correct month and date appear on the display, release the buttons.

5.) Depress the TIME button and the UP button to set the display to the correct time. Be sure to confirm that you have set the time correctly to ‘AM’ or ‘PM’ by observing the AM indicator.

6.) After you set the time, reconfirm that the Day, and Month/Date displays are still correct. Make final adjustments if necessary.

The SmartSet clock memory is now reset and the new lithium battery will maintain it for the next 5 to 8 years, depending on the number and duration of the power outages you experience.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
After resetting the clock, don’t forget to reset your wake up times, and alarm mode settings, and sleep timer settings as well.
