The Chromebook has a wireless network interface.
So, it does not connect to your computer.
Instead, it connects to your wireless router.
If you do not remember that password for your wireless network,
you need to "reset" your router to its "factory-settings", and then recreate the name of your wireless network, and enter a new password, to define it.
Another (personal) reason I don't like HP printers...my wife has had several HP's, and they seem to fail right after the warranty runs out.
She prints from her I-pad and android phone thru my wi-fi using air-print( printer has to be wi-fi and airprint compatible. I bought her an Epson WF-3520...easy to setup and works like a champ !
From my research, unless the HP is listed as compatible with Chromebook, it has to be directly connected via USB to a Mac or Pc, and then networked to that Mac or Pc. Is the printer airprint supported?

Here is a trick you can use: You can put the Chromebook into Developer Mode, then once it is in Developer Mode you can switch it back into normal mode and it should totally wipe the Chromebook without requiring any USB flash drive or any SD flash card etc.
But remember that just like a Powerwash or a USB ChromeOS restore, this process will wipe all local files you have stored on your Chromebook's SSD.

PS: Remember that when using a Chromebook you should never store important files locally on the SSD HardDiskDrive shelf; Instead, store them in your Google Drive or if you must store them locally use something like flash storage media. Press ESC + + POWER. The screen displays a yellow exclamation point (!).
Press CTRL + D to begin dev mode, then ENTER. The screen displays a red exclamation point.
Press CTRL + D, then ENTER. The Chromebook deletes its local data, returning to its initial state. The deletion takes approximately 15 minutes.
When the transaction completes, press the spacebar, then press ENTER to return to verified mode.
