give me model numbers of indoor and outdoor units

yellow from transformer does not go to yellow from unit. you will then create a direct short and burn up the transformer. If the relay is the onlyaccessory, 2 transformers would not be required. Give me some time to look at what units you have, I'm at work, and I'll get back to you!

Yes I know this. I got a new transformer just in case I need it . Got everything wired up , just the wires from outside unit is all that's left.

Outside unit is a Fedders c1042bbd1vf . I will have to find out what the inside unit is .

sounds like you got it. I would put a 5 amp fuse between the 24 from the transformer and red to the tstat. This protects your transformer. Shouldn't need 2. blower relay should have green from tstat and com to energize the relay, hot from line voltage and hot from blower motor landed on the NO ( normally open) terminals. if no contactor pulls in you will have to find out why you cant get 24 volts outside.

Yes , I think that is the problem . I will try to install it sometime today . I picked up one the other day just in case I need it .. will try to update you later . Thanks

You need to know why it's there. I'm guessing one put it there because of a reason, (no common outside, only one good wire, no 24 to power a board, SOMETHING). What and exactly where is it hooked up?

It's in the outside unit they had one wire going to the red wire to furnace and the other to the coil on contactor

I have rewired the unit just like the diagram shows and unhooked the trans. With only the blue and yellow wires going to furnace ( not three or four like they had it . Replaced duel run cap. (Old one bad) ran new wires to there. And replace thermostat . The wires in the furnace we're a mess , I found wires not hooked up and I could tell it was wired wrong . So I started rewired and I found a fan relay I think is wired wrong too . It has 6 spots to hook up wires . I think the bottom two are for the 24 v . To run the relay . No to for sure of the other and a three way switch I think it's a off and on for blower ???

    Yes . That is correct.

The two wires from the outside unit where do they wire to ?? I guess one ( red ) would go to thermostat and the other would go to yellow from thermostat ?!

After I rewired the furnace it works fine untill I hook up the outside unit then the blower motor does not want to kick in . It act like it wants to .. . Maybe the fan relay is bad ?

Oh . I ran the wires from outside unit (blue and yellow wires) the yellow to yellow of thermostat and blue to com. Was this rite ?

The only reason I can think of why they would install a outside transformer would be because of , one transformer is not enough to run all the 24v that both unit need and the two wires from outside unit ( blue and ). Should go yellow wire to yellow wire from thermostat and blue should go to com of blower relay . Still not for sure where the blue wire goes..

SOURCE: repair wiring on weller soldering iron model ec1002

If the coil wire is snaped then you will need to replace all the coil. usually the power from the outlet goes stright to the coil and connects to both ends of it's windings

Fedder Heat Pump not Running

you can check your heat pump on the outside by turning off the power and listening to see if it makes a whoosh sound. and then turn it back on you should hear it kick in. Is the outside unit running? Sounds like an electrical problem maybe in the breaker or the contactor on the inside of the unit. This is where the 24 volts from the thermostat call to the 240 volts to kick on the condenser fan and compressor. Be real careful in messing with this because of the high voltage.

We have a Fedders window unit and we do not have an owners manual. When we plug it in it beaps and then blows air for 2sec and then it goes off with the signal E3 showing in the digital box. We need to...

Without the model number, I can't point you to the exact manual for your particular unit. However, here's a link to a web site that has about 38 manuals for various Fedders models. You can download a manual and/or users guide for free and look at the operation and troubleshooting sections to see what you need to do to get your unit working properly.

Just scroll down the page once you get to the web page to locate your particular model number, then click on it.

Is there a drainage tube or does it drain from the corners? on the fedders aeq07f2bg

Probably out the corners. The unit needs a big old puddle of water so the slinger blade can help cool the condenser coils. If the unit is tilted towards the inside of the hoscienda then water will come inside and will be spitting out of the evaporator. That ain't too cool (pardon the pun). You would need to reposition the unit so that the water will flow towards the rear of it.
That way the agua will disperce outside. Do not drill a hole or run a wire into the unit as that could bust the sealed unit. Not good.
