I have a Philips 50PFL3807/F7 TV and I want to connect it to a Sony HT-S200F sound bar, but I don’t appear to have the right connections. Is there a fix?

It appears that your sound bar did not come with a HDMI cable. Get one and then use it to connect it to the TV. Good luck.

SOURCE: "Display connected non-HDCP compliant" error

The HDMI cable was causing "Display connected non-HDCP compliant" error message to appear.
When I reconnected my DVD to TV using regular cable with 3 color connectors(i don't know what is the proper name for that cable) that error message no longer appears on my screen and I was able to watch my movie normally.

SOURCE: Hi.How can I connect SHARP HT-SB400 sound bar

You should be able to connect these but you'll need some extra adapters/converters/cables. The Sharp HT-SB400 has analog audio inputs (http://www.sharp.co.uk/cps/rde/xchg/gb/hs.xsl/-/html/product-details.htm?product=HTSB400&cat=10500 ). The Samsung UE40C6000 LED TV has a digital (optical) output and a headphone jack (http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/tv-audio-video/television/led-tv/UE40C6000RKXXU-spec ).

With a RCA (F/F) to 3.5 mm (M) adapter, you may be able to connect the headphone audio out to your sound bar directly. This is an example: http://www.cyberguys.com/product-details/?productid=4730 . I'm not sure if this will automatically disable the TV speakers.

The other option is to get a digital audio to analog audio converter. One of these is http://www.amazon.com/Digital-Audio-Analog-Converter/dp/B0013LWK3A . You'll also need the optical digital cable in addition to the RCA audio cable that you have. With this you'll have to follow the manual for turning on the digital audio output on the TV (under the Sound menu) and turn off the TV speakers.

I hope this helps.

You have to use the TV remote to set the TV sound option to external. Look on TV setup menu for 'external output' or 'external speakers'.

New Philips Televion dim and flickers

You should return the player because if it is dim and flickering than there is a miss connection in the play. It could also be that your tv is not compatable with that player.
