When freezer is in holiday mode is it still okay to leave frozen goods in freezer. Thank you

It sounds to me as if some of the internal vents are being blocked. Check to make sure that the air circulation in the freezer is not obstructed.

Defected DEFROST HEATER can cause frost build up on the panel at the back of the freezer,and freezer stop cooling and ice frozen on unit so air could not flow to refrigerator side.Water will coming out caused of unbalanced freezing,and causing the flooding of water in the floor. You must change this defroster heater assembly so it will works normal again..

This is good! This indicates a defrosting system failure which is a simple control problem. It also means that the sealed system (compressor, evaporator coil, and all associated tubing) is fine as wine in summertime. Defrost system problems are easy fixes that anyone with a pulse can do with maybe just a little help from their friends. The problem will either be the defrost timer (or Adaptive Defrost Control board, if so equipped), the defrost thermostat, or the defrost heater. *** Following is for information only.***
* Check for air movement while fan is running. Many have plastic ducting that pulls air from the bottom that is usually covered by the lower drawer. Pull out the lowest tray and check the back for ice or food that fell in back to block the air vent. If it's iced up, DON'T hit it as you will crack the plastic. Leave the door open, Turn off and let the freezer defrost. (remove food).
* Check the upper fan vent for ice blockage. Defrost as needed.
* Unplug refrigerator to defrost. (Get help to move as the fridge is heavy and may tip over on you.)
* Once completely free of ice (it takes a while. A fan blowing into the freezer helps. ***DONOT use a heater!*** Warps panels and may over pressurize refrigerant.)
* Allow a completed defrosting of the freezer. (Place frozen foods in refrigerator side to keep it cold while the refrigerator is off. Better to transfer everything to another refrigerator.)
* Keep checking and dumping the drain tray as the ice melts. If no water drains then the line may be clogged. Call for service.
* Plug in refrigerator but leave out where you still can unplug it if you need to continue to defrost. Move it back only if everything is working (so far).
* Set the temperature to middle of dial and the freezer diverter to normal (middle). Leave fridge empty to allow it to cool down without a load. Check for icing (there shouldn't be any as there is no moisture in box to ice up.) If there is ice then it did not defrost enough. Turn off and repeat manual defrost (open door)
* Once your sure all the ice is gone and the freezer is cold. Move refrigerator back into the counter/wall. (it's lighter but get help anyway.) Start putting back the frozen goods. Try not to cram in everything. Keep enough space on racks to allow air flow AROUND the whole shelf. Keep away from leaning food against the walls and back.
* Leave the temperature setting at mid range. Your refrigerator should be able to keep food frozen at this setting.
* Check your door seals for cracks
* Check your door perimeter for warmth. It should not be sweating or ice cold. Cool or slightly warm to the touch is normal.
* Check your side panels (not doors). It should be cool but not iced or sweating.
* Final, with the Temperature set at mid range. If your still getting ice then you have a vapor leak. (Moist air getting into the freezer) Note that this moisture can also come from hot moist food placed in freezer without pre-chilling it. If you must put hot food In the freezer. Then place it in the refrigerator section for at least an hour prior to the freezer. The refrigerator can handle the moisture load better than the freezer. The refrigerator just collects the water and drains it to the bottom pan.
* Again, check your warranty and call for service. Have them perform yearly maintenance to check everything.

PS; If everything is okay (so far) then only gradually adjust the temperature SLOWLY. You will find that maxing to the coldest setting will only build up the ice quicker. Normal freezer operation can take care of the occasional (daily) opening of the freezer door. It will 'dry' out the frost and ice build up (If given the chance). But if you find that Ice keeps building then you need a bigger new ice box.

I have the same issue, the green light on the bottom is not lit. Looked in manual and do not see anything about that. Freezer is working otherwise, everything frozen like it should be.

You require NTC for fridge evaporator. Part no.7323301. It is the one screwed to the back wall of the fridge with a green band on it.Behind the cover at the rear of the light.

Most likely problem is NTC, which is behind cover at rear of light.You will require torx screwdriver to remove. It's the one with green markings on screwed to the back wall of the fridge. Part no.7323301 it about 35 pounds to buy

Remove the rear panel in the freezer and see if the evaporator coils are frozen over.
If so dethaw coils with a hair dryer.
Reassemble freezer and set controls to the normal position.

Although you replaced the defrost timer if the coils were frozen over in the freezer no air can transfer to the ref. section from the freezer.

If you do not want to dethaw the coils unplug the ref. for 1-2 days and leave the doors open .The coils will dethaw by then.

The refrigerator has a dual water valve. The water dispenser side of the valve may be defective, but, my experience has shown the problem to be in the water reservoir, located in the bottom of the fresh food section, which, might be frozen or the water line through the freezer door is frozen. Scenario #1: Remove the kick panel, disconnect the water line from the fitting. Have someone depress the water actuator, while, holding a cup to collect any water which may come through the line. If water comes through the tube. The problem is a frozen water line in the door. My best advice for this problem is to remove any frozen goods from the door. Take a piece of cardboard and seal the freezer section of the refrigerator with any kind of tape. Make sure you tape the door switch in the closed position, so, the refrigerator will continue it's normal operation. The frozen goods will remain frozen and the fresh food section will be okay. Leave the freezer door open. You might want to put a towel under the door. The water line will thaw. It might take 15 minutes. It might take 3 hours. Periodically check the water dispenser operation. When the water flows remove the cardboard. Scenario # 2:if, after disconnecting the water line and depressing the water actuator there is not water. The reservoir is frozen. Use a hair dryer to that the reservoir. You will have to remove at least a couple of crisper drawers to perform this action. The cause of a reservoir freeze is too little stuff in the drawers or too low a temp in the crisper drawer area.

thermostat might be on its way out try turning it up. make sure the door seal works.
