Does fire stick work on older tvs? - Televison & Video

If your television only has one HDMI port it is 20 years out of date. You would need some sort of HDMI hub. Technology moves on and Smart TVs are Now and the Future in Ultra HD.

Or just swap between Fire Stick and DVD as you need them.

When you used directv how did you get the signal? was it automatic? if so the firestick should work. Are you sure you getting power to the firestick. I have had problems in the past using the USB for Power that is on the TV. I always plug the usb power from the Firestick to an outlet instead of the USB power if available on the TV.

No...older TV's are not applicable to the current Smart TV applications. There are separate boxes or Amazon Fire Sticks/ Google etc. that work with older TVs. You will need a TV with USB ports in some cases.

check your internet connections can be to slow dead spot --or problem with the tvs internet connection

adjust the size of your tvs picture with your tv remote. Hit mode and select desired size.

Any HDMI will work, you just have to pick the right input on your tv to see it. If you plug in to the hdmi labeled "input 2" then use your tv remote to select input 2. Also dont plug in the power cable to the telrvision, while convenient sometimes the voltage or amperage of the tvs usb does not supply enoigh power. Use the provided ac adaptor as well
