My Hisense remote, #EN21667-A stopped working. I have tried for days to reprogram it, but according to the Hisense help, there is no such remote, it is a Hisense remote that came with the TV.

I am not sure how I can be more detailed, it is a Hisense TV remote that came with the TV when I purchased it. The EN21667-A is printed right on the remote.

I don't typically think that remotes that are provided by the manufacturer are programmable for other devices..but I found a link to a potential replacement..

SOURCE: hisense remote does not work with hisense tv

You can find the remote control codes for different brands of devices from
http://www.hifi-remote.com/ofa/codes-tv.shtml#tv

If none of the codes work then we have two other solutions:

1. Searching For Your Code

If you have tried all of the set-up codes for your brand of equipment ,or your brand is not listed, and you are still not able to get the unit to respond, try the following procedure to search for your code.
If you don't find a code that works, the remote will flash four times when you reach the end of all the codes for this device type.

  1. PRESS the button for the device you want to program, (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc.), then RELEASE.
  2. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button until the red LED flashes twice, then RELEASE.
  3. ENTER 9-9-1 (two blinks on the remote)
  4. ALTERNATE slowly between the POWER key and the DEVICE (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc.) button until your device turns off. (On VCR, LD, and CD players use PLAY instead of POWER)
Make sure that the remote is pointed at your device during the search, You may have to press this sequences of buttons up to 100 times to search the entire library of codes.
  5. When your device turns OFF, PRESS the SETUP button and RELEASE it to lock in the code for your device.

2. Learn the buttons from the original

Line up your original remote and the head-to-head before completing the following steps.
  1. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button until the red LED flashes twice.
  2. PRESS 9 - 7 - 5, the red LED will flash twice.
  3. PRESS the DEVICE key where you wish to learn the function. The next 3 steps must be completed within 10 seconds.
  4. PRESS the button that will receive the learned function, the LED will flash rapidly.
  5. PRESS the button on the original remote to be learned.

Now you can repeat steps 3 through 5 to learn other functions onto other keys or press and hold SETUP until the Cinema's red light flashes twice to lock in your new feature. (If the red light does not blink twice, stop and repeat steps through 6).
To test the new feature, press and release the device key in which the new feature was learned followed by the key on which the feature was learned

I have a Hisense remote (EN- 31624A) I've tried to use it on my Hisense TV but it does not work. Is there any code or steps to take to reprogram the remote to the tv?

If the remote control is the original one; you needn't to program it. It will be already pre-programmed to work with the TV. Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check it by pressing all the keys. You can detect the presence of infra-red emission from the remote control, using a cell-phone camera. If you wish to get more details about how to check a remote control, please visit this site. One among the posts has details about it. Surf the site with patience.

I need to reprogram my hisense because I have no picture or sound.

Check on the net for updates first and if there is one, follow the instructions on line to install. Have you tried to re-scan all of the channels? If it's the same as mine try-
On remote:
Menu
scroll left or right to settings
go down to Auto Tune

Let it re-scan as something may have shifted frequencies.

My 06 taurus remote start stopped working along with remote door locks. i reprogramed the remote according to manual. this worked then it stopped working again. tried reprograming again now it doesnt work....

ummm does the remote have good batteries in it (sorry have to ask) most remotes need good power to send signals any distance and sometimes the signal will reflect off shiny surfaces and confuse the remote..are you shooting thru a window? thats fogged up? moisture will cause a drop in signal clarity(to includ the car windows and sheet metal as well. good luck and repost please..

Both car remote controls stopped working

The receiver probably just needed resetting and reprogramming. I am surprised three are working - normally the receiver will only allow two.

Volume and mute buttons suddenly stopped working

Try changing the batteries. Most times the "tivo" buttons will work but the "tv" buttons will stop working when the batteries are low.

If you have done that, go back into settings and program the remote again for your tv, then give it a shot.
