SOURCE: bridging to 12 inch kicker competition subs to my 1000 watt alpine 4 channel amp

I'm a bit confused. For Alpine amps, the "M" prefix is for monoblock (aka single channel) amps and the "F" prefix is for multichannel amps. The only M550 I find is an MRD-M550, which is a monoblock, not a 4 channel like you say.
Unfortunately, I can't give you accurate help until we know weather it's truly 1 channel or 4 channel. Then I'll be glad to help!

SOURCE: bridge subwoofers

Without looking up the individual specs of your speaker and amp, I'll offer a few basics when it comes to bridging an amp.
Most important...find out what impedance (ohm) that your amp can handle bridged!! If you go below this rating, you will run the risk and most likely eventually overheat and short circuit the amp. You must also know the impedance of your sub (which can come in a variety) to be able to match them. Depending on this impedance match-up, it may be less beneficial to bridge the speaker to this amp. For example if there is an impedance mismatch you'll either get less power from the amp or short circuit the amp. If you know these I can help you come up with the best solution.
If you know bridging is the best option, then you'll have to know which terminals on the amp to use in order to bridge. This is how it normally works. On a 2 channel amp...you would normally take the positive from one channel to the positive on the speaker, and the negative from the OTHER channel to the negative on the speaker...and this is how you bridge the amp. The other two channels would remain UNCONNECTED. BUT!!! you have to make sure you use the correct 2 channels...it varies from manufacturer. But take heed not overload the amp...and not to overpower the sub. There are a few different ways that you can configure the subs if you find it beneficial to bridge your amp, these would take long to explain and would depend on the impedance of your subs and specs of your amp...these wiring configurations is how you match the impedance of the speakers input to the amps output (and is very important to do correctly) Look up "parallel and series" wiring configurations. Let me know if this helps, or if you need further help. Find out the impedance of your subs and the specs of your amp and i'll be able to assist you more. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: how do you wire four 12 inch kicker cvr dual voice

Hello brysonford00,

The wiring configuration depends on what final impedance you want the amp to see. If the subs are 4ohm DVC's, you can wire them to present a 2ohm impedance or an 8ohm impedance. The diagrams are here. If your subs are 2ohm DVC's, the wiring is the same. The impedances will be 1ohm and 4ohms.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: I have 2 1300 watt 12inch subs connected to a 2

It's trying to tell you the impedance is too low when you bridge. Run the speakers in series, not parallel.

What is the best way to wire four 6" 55 watt

My advice would be to connect the front speakers and the sub woofer to the amplifier and run the remaining rear 2 speakers from the headunit. This way you dont stress the amplifier to run on two different loads at the same time and still maintane control over your system. Bridge your sub woofer on chanel 3&4 and do not forget to set the LPF for chanel 3&4. If your speakers are not components in the front set the HPF on chanel 1&2 to roughly 60 to 80 Htz.

I have a 12 inch audiobahn 550 rms 4 ohm coil ported box and a dual box with 12 inch subs they say 550 max wattas a piece thats it waht amp do i need to get atleast 80% of my power in bass

Get a 1200 watt 4 channel amp that's 2 ohm stable. Bridge 2 channels into the single 550W rms audiobahn. Use the other channels for each side of the dual box. Turn the LPF or Low Pass Filter on and vibrate down the road.

I Have a Sony Xplod 800 watt amp and 2 12 inch Sony Xplod subs

You should definately bridge them. Firstly, lay the 2 speakers face down next to each other. Note the connections +- +-. The first + will go to the amplifier. The next terminal(-) will be connected to the next speaker(+). Take the last(-) and connect to amplifier. Please note that your amplifier has a bridge section which is normally the first + and the last- on the two channels. Connect your woofers on the bridge.

I have two 12 inch rockford p1 punches powered by an 800 watt sony explode amp (2 Channel) and i want to install another 15 inch kicker with a 1200 watt amp not sure the model, i got it from a friend and...

I have a similar setup & I just run the second amp straight off the other amp by running positive & remote wires directly from 1 amps positive & remote inputs to the others amps inputs. But my head unit has RCA inputs, (sub in & front & rear inputs) so from my 4 channel amp I run 2 6 inch alpine S's to the front to the front RCA inputs of the head unit, & 2 Pioneer 440w 6x9 inch speakers to the rear inputs. & my 800w 12 inch sub from my 2 channel amp to the sub woofer inputs on the head unit. Has blown my eardrums for nearly 12 months now great stuff! Hope this has helped

Amps on woofers are fine just won't hit

your probably making your amp run to low ohms if its a 2 channel amp bridged to one channel you can probably only run it at four ohms

Also seeing as your subs are 2ohm dvc you can't wire them individually to 2ohm and use each channel separately. So i'd recommend buying a 2ohm stable monoblock or running it at four ohms. a 1400 watt amp'll still pound at 4ohms and it'll extend your amp's life span

Kicker 8 inch 4 ohm subwoofer 200 watts rms?

Max 200 W. You could bridge 2 channels of a 4 channel amp (or get a 2 ch amp and bridge it) and connect the sub. Bridging = connect + of sub to + of one channel, and connect - of sub to - of *other* channel. Check amp manual for instructions.

Don't get a mono - most are 300W or more - might burn the coil during loud passages.

2006 12" Kicker L7 4 ohm

first whats the range in terms of WATTS that your 12" sub can handle in 4 OHMS ? second , lets check the AMP , POWER ACOUSTIK 1800 WATTS , Now thats a lot of power to drive a single 12" sub speaker . your amp is 1800 watts , per channel is around 500 watts , if BRIDGE thats around 1600 watts rms for ONE channel , if your sub can handle that kind of wattage fine , but it will not blow the amp , what it does is shuts down , some kind of protection mode , it will come back on after a minute or so. I suggest to use one channel in stereo mode , or purchase another sub to use the other channel. i hope this helps AJ
