My kicker amp zx1500.1 keep going in protection mode I unhooked the sub speak wires and put the ACR cords back in and it didn't go in protection mode what next

it is probably the rca inputs on the amp may have fried. was your cd decked turned up loudly before the power went out? did any wires accidently touch each other? If had worked fine and then suddenly stopped, than either a wire came loose or the inputs fried. try using different cables and I also suggest disconnecting power for 24 hours and then reconnect. If the green light is on then it is getting power and the problem is in the rca cables or the inputs

its broken. sell it for parts of have it fixed.

Better off getting it repaired through kicker.....Most of the time you cant find parts for their amps online or anything. Was the amp 2 ohm stable????? Is it still under warranty????

if the amp is powering on the sub and playing and then turns in to protect mode it could be the amp is getting hot and its kicking into protect so you wont fry the amp

This amp likely has several capacitors inside that drain very slowly after being unhooked. If you keep monitoring the voltage, you should see it go down slowly over several minutes.

can you use a house subwoofer for a car cutting the power plug nd hooking the cord to pos and neg to amp

ABSOLUTELY!!!!! 4 ohms is the load that all amps are designed to play at. A lot of amps will play at lower loads but that equates to more heat. Less heat means longer amp life!!!

Considering you just bought it, the amplifier itself is probably not the issue. Small chance it is, but we'll go with that a last resort. Have you hooked it up without any speakers connected? Does the light still come on? Describe all the connections you have made to amp (what came from where, and what terminals it is connected to.)

You need to check the wiring of the sub or the box. If you have done that successfully than look at the rca cables and the blue antenna wire running from your deck to your amp
