You can remove or change the Window's User or administrator's password. You need access to a computer with Internet access to download the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD. Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot up the laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. There are very useful utilities CD and it a Linux boot CD which contains quite a lot of Utility programs including a password removal program. Click on one of these links to download HIREN'S BOOTCD :- http://www.hirensbootcd.net/http://67.20.82.163/
yes windows xp potable CD will solve it but select boot from CD ROM rather boot from floppy disk or you can use windows xp on bootable flash memory or you can restore your windows it might work
Re-boot and see if it happens again. To shut it down, press and hold the power button till it shuts off. Remove the battery and power adapter and then hold down the power button for about 10 seconds. Then re-install the battery and adapter. Push the power button to energize the laptop.
If you don't see the "press any key to boot from cd" text message, it means you should enter bios menu and set your CD/DVD as your first boot drive (F2 to enter bios and F8 to enter directly into boot menu to select first boot device)
To start a Recovery, Insert the Windows CD, and Press F12 when you see the Acer Boot Logo to enter Boot Device Selection Menu. Then Select CD/DVD, and Press enter when you see "Press any Key to Boot", then once it loads, select the Keyboard info, and finally, click Repair My Computer, off to the side, to get a Recovery Scan. If it doesn't work click Advanced Options.
