Have it inspectied my a real company . if it was wired wrong, such as the oven was 220 volts and the microwave was 110 volt they tried to split the 220 down to 110 and wired it wrong. my question is was there a oven there before, if not did they run new wires for that oven . 220 volt needs 4 wires to run it , to be right. It sounds like 220 was put to the microwave.

SOURCE: buzz, plastic smell and no heat

Chances are you have a magnetron that's failing. GE had a rash of "underperforming" magnetrons on these units. They replace the magnetron, stirrer and high-voltage diode at no charge for parts as long as a GE-authorized service center does the work. Sometimes the unit gets run too long in a failing state and the waveguide and chassis of the oven get damaged. The bulletin shows you where tyo check. To see if yours is covered, see this bulletin: http://www.microwavedisplay.com/ge_mw_mag_kit_bulletin.pdf Otherwise, you need to contact GE Customer Relations at 1-800-386-1215 as soon as possible and tell them your problem and they will put you in touch with a local authorized servicer.

I would recommend changing the diodes as well. This will usually take care of the problem.

SOURCE: Microwave won't heat food.

My Whirlpool microwave, over the stove, stopped working when my son used it to heat his food and a heavy sound came out, like something exploded in it. When I check it, there was nothing broke. Everything works fine except that it does not heat. I will appreciate any help

SOURCE: Broken torsion spring needs to be replaced

There are indeed two springs that "cross" each other, and they must be both be replaced to ensure full strength.

Normally you have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the previously hidden screws you need to remove.

Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) that demonstrates how it's done.

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

Can you remove the microwave separately without removing the complete oven/microwave unit? KEMS307DWH4 KitchenAid Wall Oven/Microwave combo unit

Hello Richard;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service technician.

Your microwave is in a separate housing than your oven. You need to remove the border stripping holding the micro wave in the wall, then lift up in the front and pull out.

Go into the following website, put in your model number which is on a label after you open the microwave door.

You did not tell me what the problem is. Please advise so I can help you further.

How to replace the bulb of a microwave oven

Replacing a Built-in Microwave Oven
  1. Step 1 Locate the cabinet above the built-in microwavemag-glass_10x10.gif oven. Find two screwed-in bolts. Unscrew the bolts while someone holds the microwave steady.
  2. Step 2 Unplug the electrical cord from the cabinet above and snake the wire down the hole towards the microwave oven. Continue having someone hold the microwave steady.
  3. Step 3 Roll microwave to left or right to set it free from the mounting bracket in the back. The microwave oven should now be unlocked from its position and can be removed completely from the area.
  4. Step 4 Install the mounting bracket on the new microwave that was included in the package.
  5. Step 5 Snake the electrical cord of the new microwave through the hole in the above cabinet. Plug in the electrical cord.
  6. Step 6 Lift the microwave and rest it to line up with the existing mounting plate on the wall. Roll it until the microwave is locked in place.
  7. Step 7 Use a screwdriver or electric drill to screw in bolts above cabinet into the microwave mounting bracket. This will keep the microwave securely and tightly in place. Your new microwave is ready to use.

How to remove JMC8127DD from cabinet

The wiring diagram for the microwave shows it is separate and distinct.
Usually slid-in counter top microwaves in this cubbyhole configuration have a trim piece surrounding & covering the front edges of the oven on all sides like a picture frame.
Normally you remove 4 or more screws in the trim frame, pull the frame off, then slide the oven out a little (there may be a locking tab on the cubbyhole's rails for safety) to unplug the cord, and then slide it out the rest of the way.

Contact Baumatic and ask if they have a "drop-in replacement".

GE Microwave JVM1540LM2CS Doesn't Heat

The turntable and the magnetron are two separate items and one should not impact the other. Since the other items are working it is doubtful that the fuse is bad. Also you need to know that the proper way to work on a microwave requires the use of special equipment to check for microwave leakage, it is not recommended to service them yourself.

Removing Microwave

I just got my Whirlpool MH7100 off the wall. It was a bit of a hassle. I could not find a proper manual online at Whirlpool, but I guess since my unit was manufactured in 1993, who can blame them? Was the Internet even around in 1993?
There were 2 obvious bolts to remove above the microwave, these were found by opening the cabinet above. The next step was the hard one. Even after these were removed, the microwave would not lean forward so that it could be removed from the rear brackets. To get it to lean forward, I had to partially remove and partially break (i think) the vent for the exhaust fan. This revealed what looked like a very large screw with a regular head, one on each side. Once I unscrewed both of these, I was able to lean it forward and get it off the rear brackets.
