Roper dryer stopped working during cycle REX6634RQO

I have an electric Roper dryer, model number rex6634rqo. About a month ago, it started taking more time to dry clothes, and just stopped working. I replaced the thermal fuse, and it started working again. It heated right and dried the clothes the first time, for about a week. It has been taking longer to dry again, and today got very hot on the last load and stopped working before the cycle cut off again. Should I try and replace the fuse again, or could there be something more to it? The heating element still lights up, and when I select a cycle, I can hear clicks, almost like it is trying to turn on.

Replace your t-fuse again but also chekc to see if the vent going outside is restricted. if hte vent is smashed or clogged the heat has nowhere to go. i would say that is your issue. clean your vent before you change he t-fuse.

Roper Dryer model # RED4405Q shutting off

The motor may be getting hot due to bad rolers idler or glide. You need to take the machine apart and oil it. While you have it broken down you may want to turn the motor and see if it is stiff. The motor can be oiled but it is tricky. there are no oil ports you must make some. I use zoomspout oiler from ace hardware. Its high temp resistant formula and viscosity is perfect for dryers and HVAC needs.
