SOURCE: GE 27956 only produces white screen in photo frame.

I followed these steps that were listed, but it didn't work. Then I increased the time in step to an hour, and it worked

I called GE support. I was told
1. unplug power from base
2. unplug phone connection from base
3. remove cover and battery from handset
4. wait 10 minutes
5. put battery back, reattach phone connection and power

It solved the problem.

SOURCE: Vizio VX32L The screen goes white,no response from buttons

G'Day!

Unfortunately, what you're describing is a repair issue. You won't be able to address the problem with troubleshooting. There is a part inside the TV that needs to be replaced. If you're under warranty, this will cost you nothing. If you're not under warranty the cost will likely be a minimum of $200 parts and labor. However, be warned that the cost could be considerably higher.

I hope I've provided you useful assistance and that this information allows you to make an informed decision as to how to proceed from here. Please be sure to vote on my response. I hope I've earned a good rating from you today.

Please post a comment if you need additional assistance so that I can help you further.

My issue is similar.. however after trying a couple of times it will work. (yes everything is plugged in) It will function for a good 10 minutes before just powering off (blackout) screen.
If you attempt to turn it on after it blacking out, the blue led for the power button will blink a couple of times and it will remain off.
However if you wait 5-10 minutes and turn it back on, it will repeat itself...

I have it hooked up to a radeon X1650 graphics controller as a secondary digital controller, and its hooked up by VGA cable.

I also have two other displays besides this one (one primary and extended that dont have any issues whatsoever.. they continue to function while the syncmaster 193p takes its time snoozing.... please help.

How do you erase pictures manually through a Smartpart photo frame?

If this is not covered in the manual or user guide, chances are then you can't. If the images are on removeable media, then delete them on your computer.

After replacing screen there is a grayish look during light hours

you replaced the inside LCD screen?
i guess there is a full story here, but...?????
light hours,?
you mean with windows open and the screen goes gray?

some monitors and tv's do that, now. called GREEN MODE.
turn it off. My stupid TV (LG) goes gray with a reading lamp on.
silly to the extreme that. Im sure yours is not with a room light sensor, but do RTM.
as you know , the screen is black lighted.
and old screens (2005 it is) do get gray and other effects.
my old view sonic, (now on server duty, off mostly)
has dim and yellow back lamps.and the LCD has age effects.
this is all 100% normal for 8 years, full time service,
in fact lucky it works at all. truth being.

elaborate what you see better may be we can hone in on the reasons. and the what you touched inside.

I have a Philips PhotoFrame - SPF3408/G7 (SPF3408T/G7). When plugged in no picture comes on screen. Screen does not light up. I viewed pictures yesterday - but - I don't get anything today. I know...

Keep in mind that Digital Photo Frame can display the same photo continuously for 1000 hours without any damage to the LCD screen.
If you can enter to the settitgn menu, first make sure the system is properly powered. Then use a pin to trigger the reset button located on the side of the power button on the back to restore the system...

If this isnt work try...
  1. Load all the photos you want to upload to the Photo Frame in the root directory of your memory card.
  2. Power off your Photo Frame by pressing the Power button.
  3. Insert the memory card into the slot in the frame.
A For a Compact Flash card, firmly slide card in the larger slot end first and face down.
B For an xD, SD, MMC, or Memory Stick card slide card in the smaller slot end first and face up until it locks into place.
zjlimited_476.gif

  1. Restart Photo Frame by pressing the Power button.
  2. After a few seconds, all photos in the root directory of the memory card will be automatically added to Photo Frame. The root directory on memory card will not be emptied after this operation.

Please do not remove the memory card just after inserting it in Photo Frame or when Photo Frame is counting the Photo.
Wait until the screen is stable.

NOTE: This operation does not apply to photos in sub-directories.

If anyone of this procedures work fine, I suggest contact your local service (check if even is underwarranty).

Good luck.

Finepix S1000fd just suddenly quit working...

I'm not sure how old this is, but I had this identical problem on my Fujifilm Finepix S1500 and the solution was embarrasingly easy and it may be related to this same problem. If your camera has a viewfinder, see if there's an image there. If so, look to see if you have a EVF/LCD button or something similar on the back of the camera. If so, press it. What had happened with me is that my wife likes using the viewfinder for framing and she presses that button to turn off the rear LCD and on the viewfinder. Maybe the button got pressed accidentally. Press it again and it should switch back. Hopefully this is the solution.

New Camera, no picture on screen

This is normal for this camera. Think about it. The CMOS chip can't see through the mirror. After the shot is taken the electronic shutter exposes the CMOS chip and makes an image just like exposing film on a film type camera. Once you get used to it you may like it better. In outdoor or bright light situations it's difficult to view the LCD screen to frame the shot anyway.
