Trouble shooting my vizio e461-a1. It won't turn on unless I do a power cycle on the set. (unplug and hold power button for 30 sec).

Once I power cycle it comes on and works fine. But once I power off, it won't turn back on without power cycle. What can I test to determine what needs to be fixed. Not afraid to take back off and use a multimeter.

SOURCE: Turns on, cd light comes on but cpu does not boot

You should get it repaired. That is likely a power supply failure. Yes, I see you have power, but I still say power supply, because there are 2 types of power: There is Motherboard power and there is CPU power. If CPU power is not correctly flowing, the CPU will not activate. If the CPU is not active, the board will not process any information, even though the board is receiving power. Power supplies are not hard to replace and are usually about 40 bucks

SOURCE: my vizio vx37l will power up but it wont get any

My TV did the same thing. You need a new power supply. Fairly simple to do yourself. The card is about a hundred bucks with shipping. The part number is 0500-0507-0250. You just have to take the back of the TV off (about a hundred screws). Just unplug the old one and plug the new one in.

SOURCE: I have a 50" Vizio

It is the power supply that is going bad, you need to replace the power supply module and that will take care of your problem. You can also replace any electrolytic caps that are bad on the module itself, that would fix it too.

Vizio smart tv has barcode on the screen

Try a reset, unplug the TV, then press and hold the power button ((on the TV set)) for 30 seconds, then release it. Then wait 10 minutes and plug the set back in, press and hold the power button again on the set until it turns on.

My Vizio M75-E1 appears to be in bootloop. Can it be fixed?

Boot log is stored in the EEPROM on the main board, you should be able to get a new one for $15 from shopjimmy but it's not an easy job to replace, very small SMD, if you have the equipment and knowledge to replace it that's the cheap way to get the job done. The other option is replace the main board

Why won't My vizio e461-A1 won't turn on?

    Hi,
    Check the follow:
    - Unplug your tv from the wall and leave it unplug for 5 minutes, plug it back and try to turn your tv on. (Try with the remote control and the tv front buttons)
If it came on, GREAT! .
If it didn't please check if the front light or LED indicator remains same color?
If it does, most likely you have a problem with your main digital board.
If you don't get have any light or LED indicator on at all, then your power supply board is the issue.

Vizio vw37l hdtv20a standby light on but wont turn on

you either have a faulty power supply or faulty main board. Vizio power supplies on the older sets are pretty decent. It's usually the main boards that go. These older main boards tend to be pricey so it may be better to buy a new set.

    No power on vizio E371VL

Vizio TV model E371VL turned on ok and had tv show on ch.4.
Turned on the DVD player and put movie dvd in and closed tray.
We have done thhis numerous of times and never had a problem.
This time " HDMI " was showing on top right of black screen,
then " No Signal " came up on screen, then went completely black screen. Called Vizio, they had me power off and unplug set.
Push and Hold power button on TV for 30 sec. to reset.
Replug set and Vizio (lighted) on lower front of set lighted normally dull orange. Pushed power button on remote and when set did not come on, then push main power button on side of TV. Nothing, no White " Vizio " from orange light. Is this a power supply (0500-0412-1020) problem ? Thanks, Sidney ([email protected])

Vizio M261VP 26'' LCD TV no picture, logo does not light up

If the Vizio logo(power indicator) isn't coming on when the set is plugged in, most likely you have a issue with the power supply. Your standby power supply isn't working, and without it, you will have a dead set.
