I also tried to import it on Vista with Video Movie Maker but unsuccessfully. The problem is that when playing the video on the PC the movements are either too slow or fast. Voice is ok, but the movements!!!!!  Would apreciate any suggestions. Thank you in advance.

How did you import the video to your Studio? Is that camcorder connected directly to the usb port of your computer? If so? please try and check this one. Found this on the Pinnacle knowledge base

Workaround needed to import video from Canon HG20 into Studio 12

With advanced HD (High-Definition) video conversion technology, HD Video Converter can easily convert among HD video formats, convert video to HD, convert HD videos to SD (Standard-Definition) videos. The HD video converter supports most of HD video formats such as AVCHD (mts, m2ts), H.264/AVC, MKV, MPEG-2 (ts), DivX, HD WMV, MPEG-4 and Quick Time.

I need to import video from my canon zr500 to my pc

Hi!

You can import videos from your camcorder to your PC using a DV cable. Check this page from the user guide of your camcorder.

Basically, you need a firewire port and a DV cable. Most computers (new ones) already have firewire ports (or 1394 ports).

I hope that helps.

Good luck and have a nice day!

Canon mv700

Hi

I have had this camera for around 4 years now. It works fine. I basically plug in the firewire connection on my camera switch it on to playback/camera mode then plug the other end into to my computer my operating system picks it up fine without any problems. It doesn't require any drivers windows will auto install any drivers it needs. Not sure why you are getting this problem.

Video Recording in Canon DC20

U can use Nero, where you create your own dvd, click on import disc. There will be a item, select it and click import disc. The file will be stored at the default nero folder witch usualy is under "My Document's" an then under "Nero" then "Imported" then a folder wih the date of import will provide you with the videos. This is how i did it until it started to eritate me, because your dvd should not be scrached in any way, the program will terminate if it cant import that piece of video.
I hope this could help you...

Problem capturing footage from Canon MV700 DV camcorder to Windows XP

I use Pinnacle Studio versions 9 and 10 without any problems. The software sees the camera MV700i and controlls the playback etc. Have also used Ulead Movie Factory without any problems, but its a little harder when it comes to editing the output.
