Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.

Fujitsu Aircon model AST24PBA-W has green Timer light continuously flashing and red Operation light giving 5 flashes. Outside unit fan will not run. What does this code indicate has failed?

Most likely a faulty fan motor. You will need a tech to diagnose correctly as this uses a DC motor which has a circuit board inside so has very specific tests. Other possible faults for this code are compressor rotation error, CT abnormal or current trip all of which will need a tech to diagnose.

FUJITSU Indoor Inverter ASTA09LCC/ASTA12LCC airconditioning - not cooling

If the operation button is flashing 8 times, the timer light should also flash 4 times in each sequence. This indicates a failure of the PFC circuit in the outdoor unit which basically means a faulty outdoor board and will have to be replaced.
If the operation light is flashing 8 times by itself, the indoor controller board may have a fault. You can normally test this by putting the mode on the remote to 'Fan' and checking that the controls otherwise work normally - louvers work as directed and fan speed changes correctly when selected on the remote.
Most likely the fault lies in the outdoor board but you should contact a tech to diagnose correctly.

Machine stopped mid cycle and green light flashing under green start button

Many modern washing machines display error codes if they detect a fault, but not all washing machines display a readable error code, some indicate an error by flashing, or lighting some of the lights.

Hotpoint, Indesit, Zanussi error codes

Hotpoint, Indesit washing machines and Zanussi washing machines are some common appliances that display coded error codes. On their more expensive models, they display readable error codes but basic models (without digital displays) use flashing lights to convey the error fault code.

If your washing machine malfunctions and you can see some of the lights flashing, or one or more option lights have lit up, then make a note of which lights are flashing and which option lights are lit. NOTE: the error code list engineers have only shows the option lights by number and not by name. Therefore you need to report the lights as LED 1 and 3, or 2 and 4 etc. and NOT "delay timer" and "extra rinse". Count the lights from the left (or from the top if in a column) and report as "led 1 and 3" etc.

No Option lights?

With basic washing machines that have no option indicator lights, count the number of flashes. For example, the door locked indicator may flash 7 times, pause, and flash another 7 times in a constant cycle which would indicate error code 7.

This information is vital, and needs mentioning when reporting a fault.

TROUBLE REPLACING OEM TIMER - UNIVERSAL ELECTRONIC FAN TIMER

Hi, you should be real close with the universal timer and the factory OEM. On the new control board, if you have 24 volts to the board, you should have 24 volts from R to ground or to Common. I know that on most all control boards the voltage in is 120volts as you will have terminals for L-1 and L-2 to run the high voltage controls from the board and all of the thermostat control terminals in a row, R,G,Y, W, C, and so on are 24 volts. 120 volts is stepped down to 24volts control and you say you have nothing out. Make sure you have 120volts in. You are calling this a timer board, is this a heat-pump defrost board with the 3 settings and pin to defrost the unit at 30,60,and 90 minute times? This is what it sounds like. If all was terminated per diagram, you would have the 24 volts required to fire this unit. These defrost timer boards require high voltage to them as well. Even though the board is a new board and you know for a fact that it is wired properly, it may be a defective board. I have seen this many times in my years as a tech. I have shorted new boards out by static electricity and by mis- wiring one. You can kill power and look at the back side of the board to see if this has happened. Sometimes you will find that they missed a solder point on the back side not completing a circuit through the board. To give you more ideas, I would need to see the diagram, or if you could send me the model, serial, and name of your unit. The board number would help also. Check out what I have said and get back to me on this. I will wait to hear.
