SOURCE: i can't sew on my machine

I had the same problem. There is a gold or silver washer on the back of the sewing machine that holds the part inside that you are connecting to. If the washer is gone or loose you will not get a connection when you insert the foot peddle. This peice inside is small and square with three delicate wires attached, You should be able to see it

SOURCE: presser foot lifter is stuck can i fix it

If you can't lift the presser foot up at all undo the presser bar screw on top of the presser bar, if you have a dial turn it to 0, you should now be able to move the lever, if it is still tight put some WD40 on the presser bar and leave it for a couple of hours.

I have a Quantum Stylist 9960 and when I'm sewing it stops inthe middle of a stitch and the warning is foot peddle with the arrow pointing upwards or it tells me to lower the foot peddle.

If your Quantum Stylist 9960 sewing machine stops in the middle of a stitch and displays a message about the foot pedal, it's likely due to a connection issue with the foot pedal. Check the foot pedal's cable and connection to ensure it's securely plugged in. If the problem persists, consider cleaning the foot pedal's sensor or contact the manufacturer's customer support for further assistance.

White 2999 won't stop. help?

I'm not familier with this specific machine but in general ..not stopping has to be the foot control ..maybe you tried two with the same problem. what happens is the mechanism spring gets out of adjustment or position or gets dirty, that plus a weakened spring lets it engage on the first slowest level and stay there.. to fix the problem.. unplug the machine, open the peddle and CAREFULLY clean out the inside. also there is (sometimes) a twist/screw adjustment on the peddle so you can adjust it without opening it..

I plugged the sewing machine in it started working but my foot was not on the peddle looked and button was not stuck under peddle so what do.

The pedal pushes on the button which is nothing more than a on/off switch. Even if the button is not currently depressed, there could be a short inside. If yours is the type with a removable pedal, unplug it and see if the machine stops. If it does, there is definitely a short in the button.

My machine starts sewing when I turn the off & on switch. It will not stop

Replace your foot pedal--it's stuck! You didn't mention the model of machine that you have, but you can usually replace it on eBay by doing a search on your model machine.

I have a memory craft 9000 and it has just started sewing by itself..........HELP what can I do??

When it starts sewing by itself, unplug the foot control. If it stops sewing, then the problem is in the foot control.

Brother XL-4012

ok,,when you press the foot peddle you will hear a continuous noise like a motor running that means its not the foot peddle, if not peddle is dying or motor carbon brushes are worn, this is a simple fix, we just need to narrow it down
