How do I access and change the batteries - Health & Beauty

Depends on whether you're talking about a desktop PC or a laptop. In either case, we need to know the make and model number for your PC. Unfortunately, there's more than one place that PC manufacturers tend to "hide" the battery, especially in desktops. The good news is that usually, there's only one battery. Please post in the comments box the type (desktop or laptop), make and model number of your computer and I'll see what I can do.

To change the battery in a Kurzweil PC2x, follow these steps:

1. Power off the device and unplug it from any power sources.
2. Remove the screws on the back panel of the device to access the battery compartment.
3. Carefully remove the old battery, taking note of its orientation.
4. Insert the new battery in the same orientation as the old one.
5. Replace the back panel and screws.
6. Power on the device to ensure that the battery change was successful.

To reset CMOS, you will have to remove the button-cell battery from the motherboard (NOT the laptop battery). Depending on the make and model of your laptop, you may have to remove a few panels and system components in order to access the battery. Your laptop's manufacturer may provide instructions on how to access the motherboard battery on their support site.

To change a CMOS feature, you will have to enter BIOS. The support site for your laptop's model should specify how to do this (you will be required to press either the ESC key or a function key at startup).

Flip the mouse over and with the with the USB receiver detached ( which it should be anyway) remove the access cover by pressing in the outside edge of the cover to access the battery compartment. In there, you will find two AA sized batteries. When replacing, make sure you orient them with the right polarity as shown on the small tag inside the mouse.. Hope that helps...

Charge fully the batteries you have, to prevents the camera distinguish the type of batteries (maybe the camera senses the charge), turn on the camera and you will have access to the menu to set up the batteries type correctly, that´s all.

The CMOS batteries in a lot of laptops are sort of hidden in the palm rest. You may be able to see it if you remove the main battery and look up into the case. The last one I changed, I could see it. If not, you will have to separate the two halves of the case and then you'll find it.
