Sonicare hx9642/20 toothbrush making short humming noises and will tend to turn on on its own. How can I fix this?

This happened to me as well. One long, two short beeps. Incessantly. Only happens when brush is on the charger. Try this simple fix first. Hold down the SILVER button for 5 seconds while the toothbrush is on the charging base. If the fix works, it will fix the problem immediately like magic. If that doesn't work, try this: 1) remove brushhead. 2) use screwdriver in the base and turn 1/4 turn 3) push out assembly from the top 4) dry the inside of of the base handle. allow to air dry 5) allow the switch to air dry 6) reassemble

My sonicare toothbrush starting beeping during the night and kept beeping.

Probably two reasons for this. 1) the contacts at the base of the brush are not clean which will prevent proper charging , the low battery beep is telling you to recharge.2) the battery needs replacing.

Can the battery in a Sonicare HX5610 be replaced by me?

No, not for an average person to attempt. If you are skilled in electronics, soldering wires, then perhaps. See this video because the battery replacement is not a simple replacement operation.

How to replace the brush on the Phillips Sonicare

1. Pull the brush head away from the brush handle with a small amount of force to release the connection. There will likely be a click and you will revel a metal prong that is the shaft that connects to the motor. The head is now detached. 2. Fit a brush head by pushing the metal tip of the brush motor at the top of the brush handle into the hole in the bottom of the brush head. As the two are pushed together there will be a click, the head is now attached.
