SOURCE: Lost Remote for my Durabrand HT-395 Home Theater Systom

There are no codes you program into the remotes unless they are learning remotes. If you did the manual search for the code, then the universal remote will not work on that unit I'm afraid. You see you are not entering the code into the remote when you push the numbers the book tells you to. What you are doing is accessing the pre programed codes that are already programed into the remote. You cannot add any codes for universal remotes unless like I said before, they are called learning type remotes. Those cost loads of cash. Good Luck

NO VIDEO OR AUDIO ON ANY INPUT, BUT HAS MENU DISPLAY

If you try to change the chanel on the remote and you don't get snow, then your set is in home theater mode and stuck on EXT-1 input.
You will have to get into the menu under advanced settings and turn off Home Theater.

Hope this helps.

How do I change the input on my t.v?

You should be able to use the device button on the remote control. If this does not work, try going into the menu and disable the home theater mode. The home theater mode locks the TV to input 1.

I hope that this helps.

The terminology for the home theater mode may have changed but there is a mode that locks the RF input out. You may need a Mits. remote to access it, but I think you can get to it thru the front panel buttons. I'll check on this and get back to you.

Input problem

your tv is set to "Home Theater mode" . Use "menu" key on your remote, go to "advanced feature", then go to "use home theater" then hit "cancel" to return to standard mode. If this does not work try unplugging the tv for 4 hours to return to factory default settings
