Saeco Magic problem. The magnet rises when I fill the water tank off the machine but, it drops as soon as I make a cup of coffee. To clear, I have to remove the tank and reset the machine. Any help?

Hi,
what do you mean by "it drops" ? If it doesn't float anymore, you have to replace it. Remove the top cover of the small tube where the magnet floats, replace the floating magnet and replace the cover.
If the cover doesn't seat properly, glue it with a drop of silicone so you can remove it next time.
If the magnet floats but is not recognized by the inside detector (the small white block you can see inside the machine, in front of the magnet), it is probably because the magnetism has fainted with time. Replace it with a new one.
Hope that helps.
M.

I'll make this more clear. Yes, it floats when I fill the tank with water and replace the tank back on the machine. I like 2 shots of coffee but, as soon as I press for coffee I watch the magnet float drop to the bottom (like it pulls it down) and I only get one cup due to an error message "fill water tank". I have to remove the tank and reset the machine in order to get another cup of coffee. This happens almost every time.

Display on Saeco Magic Comfort+ says "Fill Watertank" even when tank is full. Removing and resetting does not help.

Hi
This is usually a magnet in the water tank or sensor inside the machine. First do you have the grey magnet in the water tank? If no magnet in the tank, that is the problem. The magnet floats when the tank is full and sinks when its empty. It sends a flux signal to the sensor inside the machine. If the sensor is bad inside it doesn't pick up the flux field and you get the "water tank empty" display.

The light with the tear drop icon is illuminated and the machine won't make coffee.

That means NO Water in the tank. Please check the water magnet inside is floating up. If not ..have to replaced the magnet.

Fill water tank problem

Hi,

Do you have a magnet in the left corner in water tank? if you had it, make sure it float up when you fill the tank with water.

If you not have a magnet, try to open the steam knob and see if you can get a full cup of water, if it stops with half cup then the "water turbin" has to be replaced.
