To change the time on your TIMELINK plug-in clock model 88141 for daylight savings, follow these steps:
Locate the "Time Set" button on the top or side of the clock.
Press and hold the "Time Set" button until the clock display flashes.
Use the "+" and "-" buttons to adjust the hours and minutes to the correct time.
Press and release the "Time Set" button again to save the time.
Repeat steps 2-4 for the alarm if needed.
Note: Some TIMELINK clocks have a DST (Daylight Saving Time) button that can be pressed to turn DST on or off. If your clock has this button, press it to turn on DST and press it again to turn it off.
Daylight savings time (DST) is not same as dawn-to-dusk astronomical timer. GE 15071 and 15086 single-pole timers do not have dawn to dusk astronomical feature.
Q: My clock did not update for DST. A: We apologize but there is no patch available. Consumers must change clocks manually. Due to newly enacted government regulations, effective this year you must change the time manually, since the calendar was programmed to change according to the time DST issued by the government, it will not recognize the change after 2007. Now the time must be changed 4 times. Press & hold the time set button until the time flash, then release it and press the ff >> or << rev buttons.
I read another response and found the FN Key and they held down the F10 (Set) Key to use the up and down arrows to adjust the date and time on my keyboard.
I am going to try changing to time zone 7 (Hawaiian Time). Hawaii does not observe DST so this should turn the clock into a regular clock that ignores DST and you need to set yourself twice a year.
If DST is *already* set to "on" when you reset the time zone to Z-07 (Hawaii), my very recent experience is that the time *still gets adjusted back* by one hour. Now that daylight savings time is over (at least according to the clock's pre-programmed and outdated schedule) I'm hoping that setting the time zone to Z-07 (Hawaii) will completely cancel the automatic time changes from now on. Otherwise, I need to purchase another clock, and it won't be a Timex.
