Model # NS-L32q-10A I bought the tv in 2009, It stopped working after an outlet blew out. It's hasn't worked in a couple of years and I will like to fix it.

SOURCE: Damaged Insignia NS-L32Q-10A Screen

The damage actually occurred on the LCD (liquid crystal display) itself, not on the screen. Therefore, when the tv is switched off, no damage is visible. What happens is that when it is turned on, the liquid crystals "leak" because the display is broken. This is why you can see lines and a small dent. Depending on the tv, replacement LCD panels may be sold separately, though chances are that it would cost less to simply buy a new tv. Thanks for your post, and I wish you the best of luck! Sincerely, Der Strom

I have a Insignia NS-L32Q-10A that will not power on. Now power on light or standby. I have replaced the power supply already. All caps look good and fuses check OK. What next???

ok, when you plug in the set, does the power light come on? Assuming you ordered a power supply in good working order, you may very well have a faulty main board. The power supply produces standby power that the main board uses to power the standby/power on light. Your main board also uses the standby power to provide the "ON" signal to turn on the rest of the power supply.

The back of the tv gets hot

It is OK. This is not a fault. Heat will be generated when an LCD TV works. This is common for all brands. It is not a fault.

Tv picture will not come on

We need to find out if the power supply is putting out 24vdc for the backlight inverter board and 12~16vdc for sound, look for bad caps with leaking/bulging tops first. If you do have all the voltages then the backlight inverter board may be bad.

Sound is out of synch

Try software update first, go to the manufactory website download the software. If doesn’t help, replace the main board. I think your TV is on warranty, call for service will be good.

New tv won't turn on

If it is new, please take it back to your dealer to check replace. It must still be in guarantee period if it is new.
